Bullshit. Bull fucking shit. When I was too poor to cover my rent or feed myself, I tried to get help. I was essentially told that because I had a job and because I was a "healthy young male" I could go fuck myself and starve. Bullshit. Women and children are merely more acknowledged when impoverished. Men are told to go fuck themselves.

Feminism cannot be repaired.

You cannot have a group focused on the rights of women that does not 'other' men. Feminism was misandrist even before the second wave theories were academically codified.

Sommers has a point that around the world women are still oppressed, but feminism will never have any ability to do anything about it. The only way for an external force to change a culture is through violence, forced assimilation, and genocide.

Feminism will never care about men's rights - at best they could give lip service to it while ignoring it completely. At worst, they oppose equal rights, and this is what we see.

Feminism will always be about women, they give it away in the name. It will never be a force for equal human rights for all, and it will never have the power to change foreign cultures from the outside.

I have tremendous respect and admiration for Sommers but I really wish she would give up her Trojan Horse efforts to smuggle libertarian ideals into the feminist camp. Feminism is libertarian in theory, but authoritarian in action and totalitarian in outcome. We should just accept that reality and reject feminism.

Last thing people need is more feminism. Aim for equality, not feminism. Get more people to stop calling themselves feminists and start calling themselves egalitarians.

The first comment from that article is a corker though. Quoted in full below-

What the writer of the article misses is feminism offers nothing positive for men and it isn't supposed to. It is a movement for women, why would men become involved in advocacy for women when the results of that support have been so obviously damaging to men?
