You know what bothers me the most about this is using sexist male shaming language even though that's a topic most everyone here agrees is a bad thing.

I realize saying this risks suggesting the sub turn into some kind of PC fest. But if MRAs want to be able to have some moral high ground on the subject then that's what we would resemble lest they look like hypocrites.

I think it's entirely possible to be respectful when having disagreements without using shaming language.

Why would a site calling itself "a voice for men" put up drivel like this? Who is supposed to care? Are non-members of their childish treehouse club supposed to be seeing this petty internal drama, or was it a mistake? (Answer: anything with the name "paul elam" on it is a mistake.) Why show it to anyone else, or are they really that deprived of worthy content? How embarrassing.

It's a bad joke, and the joke is on the poor, deluded sucker readers of Paul Elam's site. Plus anyone in the general vicinity. It's really distasteful to see this kind of thing posted here.

It's getting worrisome that more and more people leave the M(H)RM. What's even more worrisome is that the ones staying talk shit about them. Okay, some splits are inevitable, but can't we deal with them with a little more tact or discretion? We keep on dividing ourselves with articles like these. The MRM sorely needs to show some lasting respect to its own members.

Paul Elam has become a hypcritical joke, claiming one minute to take issue with misandry and the next to use misandrist shaming language; to one minute claim to care about male rape and DV victims and the next to engage in blatantly misandrist rape and domestic violence apologetics; to claim to despise feminist tactics one minute and to engage in feminist style censorship and shaming tactics the next minute.

Yet to call him out on this makes you either a "do nothing complainer" or "nuts and a liar". It has become all too clear that Paul Elam's concern for marginalised men extends only so far as the political mileage they will give him.

I used to have a great deal of respect for Paul Elam as an MRA. In the past year though, my opinion of him has become on par with that of chief proponents of VAWA.

I've never even heard of Stardusk. The movement must be growing rapidly if a major player has come and gone in one sector, with so little notice in another.
