Thank you for sharing this. I heard about this speech and have been hoping there was a video about it. It's a ridiculous argument that it's fine because men don't complain. Firstly, it's not true. Secondly, a person getting used to an injury that was inflicted to when he was too young to know anything else doesn't make it okay

If a man wants to choose to be cut as an adult, he can do that. But conversely, this kind of mutilation can't be undone, which is one of the many reasons boys' genitals should be left alone by default. In addition to that it's painful, unnecessary, and removes a functioning body part

After growing up and learning about it I'm upset my parents had me cut tbh. I'd rather not have been cut for what was zero reason.

In the Philippines, although there might be cases where circumcision is done during infant stages, circumcision usually is done at age 6-12... The kids do have a choice, but there exists a stigma that uncircumcised boys are scaredy cats/not man enough/gay (In the Philippine context, people usually use the word 'gay' for men/boys who aren't man enough or who doesn't do manly things, in which the society includes circumcision to be manly). "Men want to be circumcised" maybe because of a stigma that exists in their society.

The title was eyecatching for me as it sparked my debate with my dad about being circumcised during fourth grade. I underwent partial circumcision after that heated debate with my dad back in the day. I watched a few porn, back then, mostly to understand what circumcised dicks look like then I realized that my dick was fucking ugly and didn't conform to the normal circumcised and uncircumcised dicks. I hated porn. I was (and still am) afraid to get into a relationship because of the fear of showing an ugly dick. I am afraid of asking around because I am afraid I'd be laughed at, because all this time, I wasn't conforming to the standard in our country which is ' circumcised'.

As an end note, I would like to genuinely ask some help tho. Being in an online platform, my identity is hidden and I could worry less about being laughed at (hopefully). I would highly appreciate it to better my current state.

I don't care that I'm circumcised. It happened. The fuck is making myself into a victim over it going to do?

That said, I'm not going to circumcise my own kid. I will also support any legal bill to ban circumcision. I just don't support the victimhood complex some people have when it comes to circumcision. If losing a bit of sensation in your weiner is your biggest problem, you're doing pretty good. And I know the early-life trauma potentially causes other issues, but I'm not actually sold on that theory, as someone with a psych background.

So yeah, dick cutting = bad, but victimhood culture = just as bad.

Although people like me disagree on how to solve this problem, I think we all agree that circumcision is a bad thing.

What I mean is, who here says "men don't care that they're circumcised" or "Men want to be circumcised"? I've never seen anyone present that here.

I think I should preface with I support most of these mens rights movements. I think you guys are reasonable enough to have a discussion.

This guy was hard to watch for me. Sorry. Those 14 minutes were gruelingly long. He was yelling and flailing the entire time and regardless of the topic its hard for me to take anybody seriously when they do that. It comes off like he hasn't taken a step back, cooled down and thought about this.

I only watched it once, but it sounded he felt like his humanity was stolen. My only problem is that that entire rant felt founded on the idea that he was served some injustice. He never gave an objective reason why circumcision is bad.

It feels obvious but I dont know the facts.

My brother was circumcised but doesn't feel wronged by my father so this entire rant means nothing to my brother.

He effectively said (and I mean super simplified)

"I was circumcised, I didnt like it.

INSERT CALL TO ACTION HERE."

I would love some more objective arguments for and against circumcision.

I don't agree with the cussing but I do agree that baby boys should not be cut as newborns. My own son is whole!

Some men don't care while others do support circumcision; that's just a fact. Regardless, the decision should be left up to parents and there are far more important decisions which parents get to make on behalf of their children.
