On social media today, you'll see many women discussing how they protect themselves, how they cannot walk alone at night, how they must do background checks on every new guy that they're about to date and how they constantly worry about men, whatever.

Now, it's not that I don't believe people in general should take steps to keep themselves safe, it's that men are incredibly demonised as the cause of women's fears and are made out as the core problem by these feminist advocates. Also, it seems like we're at a point were women, especially ones who have never been victims of crime, are victimising themselves to justify any mistreatment of men because "its better to be rude than to be dead" or whatever.

I'm just fed up of both these narratives.

There aren't only bad men, there are bad people. There's bad men and bad women in the world. This idea that men are the cause 80% of the moral problems in the world is just an evil generalisation, the same ones used to justify racism, homophobia and religious and cultural intolerance. Not every man is thinking about how he's going to assault a woman and planning it out. Rape culture isn't a thing.

Women need to stop victimising themselves like they're children. It's not safe for most people to walk alone at night. You can be attacked by men or women. They act like they're the only ones who are unsafe at night and in society but they forget about men who aren't jacked, who don't know how to fight, who are short, skinny and may even be disabled or have a chronic illness.

They take a small percentage of men and apply their situations to all men. That's the only good thing feminists can do nowadays in terms of logic.
