There is a widespread - and erroneous - belief that women are not interested in men's bodies, and of course, males are obsessed with female ones. It's all down to women being better actors.

Many years ago, my local sports centre was modernised and, shortly after, I went along to try it on a male-only sauna night. I thought the builders had done a very good job, with some superb woodwork in the ceilings and skylights on the flat roof. I told the attendant that I thought this was so. He said: "The women don't like it!" I asked why this was so. He said they feared boys would get onto the roof on women's night and spy on them. That's the way of the world, isn't it? Well, a year or two later, I booked a holiday in Greece, and decided to use the sun beds in the sports centre to acclimatize. I went along on men-only night, and booked a bed. When I got into the sunbed room, I noticed one of the doors had been sealed with sticky tape. I asked the attendant why this was so. He said: "Oh, through that door is the women's changing room, and females have been ogling naked men through the crack in the door, and some of the oglers have been young, very young. As young as seven, and even younger."

Women also insist that women are naked in movies more often than men are. That’s only true if you compare a topless female to a fully-nude male: topless men are so common, they appear in chewing gum ads. I’d be surprised if male full-frontal nudity weren’t actually more common than female as well.

it's an interesting point. baby boy nudity is not a common thing, but it's not completely rare either...yet in my entire life I can't think of a single full frontal nude baby girl appearing in a movie.

In the UK male nudity is normal on the BBC but full frontal female nudity is never shown.

Feminists complain if they show naked females.

As for male children in mainstream films you are right there are lots of them.

"Good morning Vietnam" 1987 film has a shower scene with naked boys. Lord of the flies. 1963 version was filmed entirely with naked boys.

I can not recall seeing a film with naked girls! I do not think it would ever be allowed.

Wow! I must have missed that Superman movie as I don't recall that scene. I fully agree though, that would bother the hell out of me. I'm against full-frontal for children/babies of any gender in movies. Ive only seen it in a few but it makes me very uncomfortable.

I mean I've seen the argument made that they won't remember/know so it doesn't matter but that's always felt like an excuse to me. I mean am the kids bits and bobs are being flashed to untold numbers of people with their knowledge or consent. Who cares if they don't remember it?

Child nudity was common back then. It was considered cute and funny. Most people were not aware of pedos back then. It was normal for parents to take a nude pick of their baby. It was considered a symbol of innocence.

Don't even look into what men have to do for their naked scenes. Most dehydrate themselves to the point of passing out to get the tight skin look.

Since some of us guys have started discussing different movies I must recommend a British movie called 'The full monty'. It is about male strippers but it is not a movie for women. It is a movie for us men. The story revolves around a group of men who are considered bad husbands or bad fathers, through no fault of their own. The thing they come up with to make money out of the willingness of women to see naked men is brilliant. Totally agree. I have children including 2 boys and feel even kid oriented programs are inserting naked male genitals into every movie and scene they possibly can. For what purpose? It seems that male genitals are to be displayed openly even for young girls but looking at a women is pornographic. When has any movie or program ever shown even a glimpse of a woman's or girls genitals? Never. HBO has episodes with 50 penises in one episode. Pretty much every single HBO program has male genital nudity. Real Sex was about sex but you guessed it - only male genital nudity. Now even comic book characters like Superman and The watchmen show completely nude males close up at all angles for extended periods. Still no female genitals have been shown. Why double standard?
