Where is the lawnmowers, weedeaters, chainsaws, boxes of tools, car parts, drywall, paint cans, etc, in the way of the men?

Let's be fair, here.

When we bought our house together, I sat down with the wife to divvy up the chores and she wanted me to do the dishes half the time (fair), help with laundry (fair), help with cleaning (fair), and do the heavy lifting (fair).

I opened the door to the 2 acre lot our house lies on and asked if she wanted first dibs on pond maintenance, car/vehicle repair, mowing/weedeating, and pet/animal care.

She thought we still lived in an apartment, I guess. Instead, she just quickly said "Nevermind, you take outside, I take inside?"

The quickest way of shutting down any gender imbalance discussion is to offer to switch chores/work and show them what they would have to do.

I've known a few women like this. Usually they seek out that work, and get upset when someone else does it because they're control freaks.

I'm not going to be chastised because I have a high threshold of what's acceptable than someone else ( I can leave dishes in the sink for a day or so, laundry doesn't have to be done right this moment, ect... ).
