I'm against it because it robbed me of a happy future . I'm a man who enjoys traditional families but these people brainwashed so many women and girl around my age that now this dream is almost impossible to achieve. And don't get me wrong I know the economy is fucked and I have no problem if a woman just come and say "we can't be traditional because you alone can't provide for a family " this way I understand it and would love that woman ten times more but instead they just say "ewww you misogynistic pig you want me to be your slave at home " or "what's wrong with a strong woman who wants to build a career " . And I'm 21 and the people I'm talking about are mostly if not all are college students. The feminists movement is no longer about equality it's more about a power fantasy for women to just prove men wrong .

Most of these people will claim that they support both side and yet you can see them doing the opposite and SOME are just promoting hatred towards men, blaming the patriarchy, using their gender for self victimhood.

Like for example: - They blame patriarchy for gender pay gap, but never talk about gender SPEND GAP! - They tell men to respect a woman but they never tell to a woman to respect a man!

And as years go by I observe that these organization are slowly turning into a cult, where they pedestalize the female and demonize the male.

First off, you need to understand Feminism. There have been at least 3, and people are saying we're in a 4th, waves of feminism. When it started out, it had legitimate issues to address. Those issues were fought and won in the 1st and 2nd waves of Feminism. But as time went on , feminism left rational behind, and became arrogant, ignorant, delusional and misleading (mostly downright lying).

Misandry and racism/bigotry towards men, particularly white men, have taken a solid hold on the movement. Young girls are brought up by lunatic fringe far left female nutters thinking that

1) They aren't equal to men, they are better than men.

2) They make the world go around. Which is only a 1/2 truth, as, without men, women would be nothing, and vice versa.

3) That men are nothing without them, proven wrong by certain movements that have taken hold of men of different age groups, and are growing rapidly.

4) That they are ENTITLED to the best of the best men available. (one look at most of the women and girls who think this usually elicits laughs from rational women and most men).

5) That all men are rapists. Always easy to see which neo-feminists believe this, because it is ALWAYS the only argument they use. Or variations of it. (claiming sexualization of non-sexual things, sexual harassment, that everything is rape.....)

Women have the same, if not MORE, rights as men. That's been guaranteed. But little girls have been brainwashed into believing they don't, and, when pushed, can't actually present VALID proof that they don't, beyond questionable media and neo-feminist blogs.

Yet, when their claims are proven WRONG, beyond a shadow of a doubt, they never acknowledge it, claim it's just 'The Patriarchy lying', 'misogynistic misinformation', etc.

It’s not a matter of being against feminism but more so annoyed and agitated by the movement.

Women aren’t exactly fighting for equality but rather going to war with all men and provide the most hypocritical stances and opinions. This “equality” really seems to be as the great bill burr said, women cherry picking the goods of being a man and omitting the bads.

Also, I actually think men are more sexualized than women to an extent. I’m not saying men are raped more than women and I know that rape is a very serious issue for women, but in regards to the term sexualizing, specifically in public, I believe men are more sexualized.

Just look up interviews with a hot male celebrity and a hot female celebrity and you’ll see. A good example would be Henry Cavil.

Also, there’s a lot of situations/occurrences where if you were to flip the roles, men would typically be scolded and receive a lot more hate than women. I can’t think of a specific examples but just watch videos and flip the roles and imagine how the outcomes would differ. Sorry if this sounds vague.

Bottom line, we aren’t anti women or feminism necessarily. Our biggest problem is the hypocrisy and hearing so much hate towards men on social media. For instance, a girl could tweet “men should just die” and people would like, retweet, and whatnot without blinking an eye. If I were to tweet “women are annoying”…..boy just watch how many people would attack me.

I was a very staunch feminist for a long time and for me the movment just got hypocritical. People will say they care about men's rights but any time they're brought up they chime in "but women have it worse!!" And yeah maybe in some cases they do but you know what's not helping either? Making it a contest. Even as recently as the Depp vs Heard trial. She clearly abused him but she still got support. And when she lost feminists were the ones talking about how bad Johnny winning was for women! Instead of looking at it as a win for male domestic violence survivors, feminists tried to paint it as a loss. What hurt women was Amber's actions. Lying about her situation and painting herself as a victim. Using the fact that she was a woman to abuse a man. Feminist say they want what men supposedly have but what does the average man really have?

If you really wanted equality you would be egalitarian, not a feminist. Modern feminism is not about equal opportunities and rights, it's about women (only) rights, privileges and equality of outcomes (only what benefits women). It embraces Socialism over Capitalism because of its marxist roots. Feminism is misandrist because the whole concept of patriarchy was created to destroy men in power and judge men as oppressors. The movement should have cancelled itself after the first wave but women became more radical asking for more and more because of the misandrist and anti-capitalist roots of the totalitarian ideology behind it. I think the problem is that feminism is unable to self-regulate. It seeks out "evidence" that shows women are being persecuted and then uses that "evidence" to push for more recognition, more sympathy, more support. As a natural consequence of unchecked growth, an opposing ideology must exist in order to restore balance in society.

I think the problem with feminism, at least in a lot of places, is that it's outgrown itself. I'm in America, so I'll speak from my own experience to keep things simple. There was a time here when women didn't have equal rights from a legal standpoint. Great example of this is voting, women couldn't vote. Then a bunch of men and women changed that. Now, legally, men and women have equal rights. If a woman is experiencing unequal pay or is refused a job or is turned away from going out to vote because she's a woman, she can take legal action. Yes, there are still social issues that negatively impact woman, but there are also issues that hurt men. Some double standards hurt women, some benefit women. It's the same for men. We don't need a political movement to fix social issues, we calm, respectful conversations and people who are willing to lead by example.

Feminism today runs on a victim/oppressor mentality. Some people, like women, are victims, while some people are deemed oppressors. "Women have it worse because of this, that, and the other". Equality isn't pushing someone else down on your climb to the top, it's reaching the top with everyone else by your side. Modern feminism has lost sight of that.

To me, the problem is intrinsic. A movement named after and dedicated to a certain group cannot adequately focus on other groups and I question if they're even meant to. If you were walking down the street and saw a pet shop called "Mark's Beagles", would you think to buy a cat or a snake there? Do you think Mark would prioritize stocking non beagles and risk beagle lovers thinking he doesn't care enough about beagles? What would people think if Mark's Beagles ran out of beagles and started focusing on selling goldfish? Feminism was created to help women reach the same point men were at, having the same legal rights. Now that they're there, there's nothing left to be done legally. It's outgrown itself. A movement for everyone wouldn't be named after women. If we want positive social changes for all, we need a social group that will be branded for all and feminism simply isn't that.

I don't have a problem with what feminism is, I have a problem with what feminism does. It makes sense for women to have a political and social advocacy group. Go for it.

My issue with feminism starts when that movement has so much social power that merely criticizing it gets you cancelled/banned/fired. There's so much hypocrisy and double speak in the movement, but noticing it is verboten.

An easy example: Generalizing women is violent misogyny and not to be tolerated, but generalizing men ("yes all men)" is perfectly acceptable and if you take issue with this then you're a double misogynist.

This is also partially why I don't believe we live in a patriarchy. If that were the case, then publicly being an anti feminist or merely criticizing the movement wouldn't be social suicide.

You're not Professor Elizabeth Sheehy, who wrote a book advocating that women not only have the right to murder their husbands without fear of prosecution if they make a claim of abuse, but that they have the moral responsibility to murder their husbands.

You're not the feminist legal scholars and advocates who successfully changed rape laws such that a woman's history of making multiple false allegations of rape can be excluded from evidence at trial because it's "part of her sexual history."

You're not the feminists who splattered the media with the false claim that putting your penis in a passed-out woman's mouth is "not a crime" in Oklahoma, because the prosecutor was incompetent and charged the defendant under an inappropriate statute (forcible sodomy) and the higher court refused to expand the definition of that statute beyond its intended scope when there was already a perfectly good one (sexual battery) already there. You're not the idiot feminists lying to the public and potentially putting women in Oklahoma at risk by telling potential offenders there's a "legal" way to rape them.

And you're none of the hundreds or thousands of feminist scholars, writers, thinkers, researchers, teachers and philosophers who constructed and propagate the body of bunkum theories upon which all of these atrocities are based.

You're the true feminist. Some random person on the internet.
