When I date, I date with the intention of having children later. But I don’t want marriage because marriage is mostly anti-male. I can’t find many women who want children and a family, but don’t want a marriage contract to go with it. Also many women seem to use “The rules” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rules) or FDS (Femaledatingstrategy on reddit) kind of strategies, so I terminate the interaction.

50% of first marriages end in divorce (https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/x143dk/50_percent_of_first_marriages_67_of_second_and_73/). So alimony and child support is a real consideration. There is no automatic 50-50 custody in my state, so I’m also likely to lose custody.

According to this article (https://www.chicagotribune.com/lifestyles/ct-life-single-dads-via-surrogacy06122018-story.html), and many more, more and more single men (gay and straight) are having biological children by surrogate mothers. I think that considering the risks, and peace of mind, it might be better to just have a child by paying a surrogate. This might be the inevitable future of the human species.

The upsides I can think of are,

  • No child support and alimony payments so might be cheaper when considering overall cost.
  • Can keep low commitment dating with multiple women for fun. Especially the promiscuous, polyamorous ones that don’t want children, that I see on dating sites.

The downsides I can think of are,

  • Children need a mother and a father to be healthy. The child might miss the mother figure. May ask question about who the mother is later.
  • Paying a nanny to take care of the kids might be necessary (But this might be far lower than the cost of alimony and child support).

What do you think?
