While I agree that sub is a cesspit, the numbers don't appear to support your premise.

Your link puts construction worker mortality rate at about 10 per 100,000; CDC numbers put maternal mortality at around 20.

That said, I believe such comparisons are apples and oranges anyway.

Technically, it's deadlier to be a man in general than pregnant. 19/100K deaths for women from pregnancy in the US (not the highest in the world as they claim, it's laughably false, we are one of the best, link below).

So while it's 19/100k women for pregnancy, it's 22-23/100k men commit suicide (and the reasons are mostly child or money related, often from... children)

It's literally more deadly to just be a man in this world, that to be a women and get pregnant.

You have to break it down on the total number of people.

Total number of maternal death in 2020 in the US was 861 and that is 23,8 per 100.000.

Total number of work death for construction workers in the US in 2020 was 1008 and that comes out to 10,2 per 100.000.

You see there are more construction workers then pregnant women.

So yes, being pregnant in the US is more dangerous than being a cop (20,24 death per 100.000 in 2020; 23,8 > 20,24) and it is much more dangerous than being a construction worker (23,8 > 10,2).
