I see Jordan Peterson as a man. He gets some right, he gets some wrong but he is as falliable as you or I and entitled to his opinions educated or not.

He's a rather boring academic who has worked until his 50s on a combination of cultural/historical studies on myths and broadly "philosophy", and as a practising psychologist/therapist

He's only famous because he got embroiled in a scandal around free speech in Canada

He has however used his platform to help in areas where he sees there are gaps in mainstream attention, especially with boys and men

I don't agree with him on everything and even more I find him often obtuse and pedantic, but he is at least thoroughly researched (more than his opponents)

My opinion about him is that he seems good for his subject (clinical psychology) , he is a bit of the spiritual type , he tries to speak about many different things that are not his specialty. Sometimes he does it nicely sometimes he fucks up. It's fine, everybody does. Some communities have demonized him and even consider him a nazi. The quick rise to fame , the need of some people to hear him and the enemy he became of some communities has destroyed him. It would have been better if the whole thing was slower.

One ultra ironic thing is that people frame him "Incel Icon" or w/e when in general Incels are "Black-Pilled" pessimists with some problems that make their life worse . Jordan peterson as far as I can tell would be considered " Blue Pill" to the bone , how can he be viewed as on the same wavelength ideologically with incels escapes me.

He doesn't embrace the label, Olivia wilde was highly criticized for treating him like that.

I'm sure reactions to Peterson here are based more in political leanings than activism, he's moderate, maybe moderate-right for Canada, and this sub is diverse on that front.

A flawed human being, like all of us. Not perfect, but is honest and seems to genuinely care about people and stands firm on his beliefs. Objectively, one of the most misrepresented people in the cultural zeitgeist.

Young men are very lost in this world that demonizes and attempts to erase masculinity. Dr. Peterson is one of the few that is actually trying to help. His speeches aren't just for men, but a lot of what he says really seems to resonate with young men.

In many ways, he's like a father figure that many of us didn't have, but desperately needed growing up.

Having met a few actual red pill blokes in my time I can confirm they think he's "a soft cunt". He's definitely not their icon

I think he gets some undue hate and that his "clean your room" advice is a great starting point for someone who feels like they've lost control of their life...but overall he strikes me someone who's in love with the sound of his own voice and his brand of "hyper-intellectualism."

Ummm... by people who aren't in those groups, maybe. To the people in those groups... not so much.

Is a con artist? A buffoon? A visionary? What do you think on the matter?

He's a religious psychologist who bends over backwards to fit the entire world and especially gender dynamics into the context of religion.

He does have good ideas, but that doesn't change the fact that the core of his message is for the continued subjugation and abuse of men.

In his book Maps of Meaning he even justifies "manhood" rituals, and uses sexual abuse of boys as an example of them.

He thinks he's helping men, and i'm sure he's honest about that, but that doesn't mean he actually is.

Jordan Peterson are Super Based, Smart Genius and I am a Big Fan of Him. You should be a Monster but Know how to Control it. That man is Right. I like his views and character.

I think generally speaking his information is good but I completely disagree on most of his political ideas and conservative/hierarchical world view.

In a recent interview about the birth decline I was going along enjoying it then he boldy says that not having a child is one of the most narcisstic things a person can do. I was shocked and started laughing but couldn't finish the podcast after that and haven't revisited him since because the juice isn't worth the squeeze imo.

I like Jordan Peterson because he’s quite progressive and open-minded, and speaks out against all the woke bullshit that likes to paint itself as being progressive - when it’s really just regressive, small-minded thinking where manipulation and being a victim is celebrated.

If there was a Labor Party in North America, a platform that supported average working people (men and women) who bust their ass only to be exploited by the rich and privileged, JP would be the face of it.
