19-year-old woman who punched an elderly man unconscious in the street, causing him to fall to the ground, hit his head and then die a week later, is cleared of causing his death. Instead, she was charged with "wounding" and given a six-month curfew

Let me guess, he was "abusive" and they don't think they should face any jail time?

[–]Key-Caterpillar-308 108 points109 points110 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

U mean """"""""""""abusive""""""""""""

[–]AvailableCandidate89 30 points31 points32 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

exactly!

[–]jjj25761 points 3 years ago [recovered] (7 children) | Copy Link

I mean, I consider using a sex tape to blackmail & extort an ex-partner abusive. It’s a bit less abusive than Murder, but still pretty awful.

[–]AvailableCandidate89 69 points70 points71 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Isn't cheating on your partner, allowing it to be filmed, and then murdering your affair partner to make sure your actual partner doesn't find out also abuse?

They were being abusive to their partners before they were "victims of abuse"

[–]Delta_Gamer_64 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

and then murdering your affair partner to make sure your actual partner doesn't find out

task failed successfully

[–]jjj25761 points 3 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Calling cheating Abusive sounds like a really solid example of Concept Creep to me.

Also— Are you referring to the Murder Victim or the murderer’s husband when you say “he was “abusive?” The pronoun without an antecedent makes it pretty unclear.

[–]AvailableCandidate89 35 points36 points37 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You don't consider secretly cheating on your spouse to be a form of spousal abuse?

[–]jjj25761 points 3 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

If the cheating is used as an act of cruelty to intentionally hurt the partner, then it can definitely be considered abusive— not all infidelity happens like this.

A college lad drunkenly cheating on his long term partner due caving to temptation isn’t Abusive. A college lad cheating on his long term partner with the cruel intent to hurt them is abuse.

If you want to brush up on what Concept Creep is, I recommend “The Coddling of the American Mind.” It’d be a good read for you.

Do you think Extortion & Blackmail aren’t abusive?

[–]Jammapanda 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

you're getting mass downvoted for a reason 😬

as a woman, cheating (regardless of intent and circumstances, as well as gender) is abuse. think of it like the terms of service of a video game company like EA for example maybe. if you abuse/violate the ToS, you get in trouble. maybe suspended, banned, who knows, EA is... well... EA. when you enter an official relationship with someone, there are rules. similar to EA's terms of service. in most relationships, one of those rules is that the two people involved only see, date and sleep with each other. when you cheat, you have abused/violated those terms of service/rules. it doesn't matter if you're drunk and "gave into temptation" (which is a way of wording that attempts to make the abuse and cheating seem acceptable and not as bad as it really is, might i add), you still cheated. if i'm playing apex and one of the terms of service is "don't team up with other squads" and i do it anyways, EA is going to ban me. "but i just gave into temptation it was a tough game" isn't going to get them to unban me.

imagine trying to justify cheating and murder 💀

[–]NeoNotNeo 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s like soooooo much worser

The feelings these poor women had, you can’t imagine

[–]Ftpiercecracker1 128 points129 points130 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Men? They killed multiple men?

[–]jameson71 73 points74 points75 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, two of them.

[–]ExMuzzy 175 points176 points177 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Looks like the victim was going to expose her to her husband which is why they killed him. I’m guessing they’re going to go for a revenge porn angle in which case she should have told the police that instead of killing him. Perhaps also not have an affair in the first place.

I don’t think I could forgive my kid either if they went that far to cover up an affair for their mother.

[–]conradfart 34 points35 points36 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't think showing a husband or wife proof of their spouse having an affair counts as revenge porn, or there'd be a lot of private detectives prosecuted for it. I agree the defendants are likely to try that spin on it though

[–]ExMuzzy 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think it does either for the record.

[–]HamletsRazor 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Perhaps also not have an affair in the first place.

That's misogyny!

/s

[–]Peon-Flux 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah how dare he judge her lifestyle choices 🤣

[–]TheAlchemist-1 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I have no clue why you wouldn’t play the victim card and go to the police..? well, play dumb games and win stupid prizes.

You’ll have to own up to ur husband and family of course but take SOME accountability.

Cowards couldn’t even do it themselves! Had to get two people in balaklavas to do it (unless it was them, article was unclear as in the 999 call he said balacava’d people are chasing hin)

Edit - revenge porn is inexcusable but not worth taking someones life. They need to be tried.

[–]Jammapanda 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i mean honestly i haven't fully read the article yet, but have managed to get a decent picture of the story from the comments lol. but revenge porn is not okay. if the guy was going to bring the tape to the husband as proof then honestly that's justified and actually totally understandable.

i'm a woman, and i've had situations where a guy has tried to cheat on a girl i knew with me and i shut that shit down real fast and immediately informed her. she didn't believe me at first so i waited for him to do it again (he was one of those people that don't know when to quit. like someone who you used to kinda be friends with and you told them you don't wanna fw them anymore for whatever reason, and then they start texting you again months later tryna act like everything's cool if yk the type) and when he did it again i immediately took screenshots and sent them to her and she was like "oh shit thank you for telling me"

Remember fellas, it's the man's fault when women cheat s/

[–]Chocolate_Fries 28 points29 points30 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah he didn't 'provide enough' to this queen

And she totally deserves better /s

[–]Whateverhappens00 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

With a woman I know. When I'm harsh towards her, its always my fault, no matter, that she the previous hour has spit out condescending remarks. When she is harsh on me, it's also my fault, because I didn't answered her questions directly, and its provoked her. That is literally how she says it. I'm getting tired of this. I think I will just focus taking care of my teenage son. I have no more energy for drama and walking on eggshells. My point is, many women, of course not all. They fail to see there own bad behaviour, and even if they recognize they behave badly, it is always the other persons fault, never them self. When can we begin held woman, to the same standards as we hold men🤔

[–]dw87190 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The sooner the better. Toppling totalitarians takes numbers. We all need to fight back, in as many big ways and little ways as possible. They fear accountability, meaning it's one of the best weapons we have to defend ourselves

[–]Whateverhappens00 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I fully agree with you

[–]conradfart 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Since when did the media start using "TikToker" instead of the more traditional "unemployed"?

[–]Orto_Dogge 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Since TikTokers started to earn big bucks.

[–]Peon-Flux -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah what like .00001% of them??

[–]Orto_Dogge 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It doesn't matter. It a person earns money with their social media, it's as good as any other employment.

[–]1CRB 39 points40 points41 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why are they not on remand in prison until their sentence is passed ? Lol I personally know people (men) that have been remanded for a 1kg parcel of cannabis let alone a double murder…

[–]reverbiscrap 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Isn't this an honor killing, by definition?

[–]gteyahdkfk 31 points32 points33 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She will claim victim in some way and get probably a suspended sentence and jail free card

[–]Peon-Flux 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And then begin another affair

[–]KrazyJazz 32 points33 points34 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Thanks God for Covid. Disgusting excuses for human beings can hide their faces. Brown women in the UK? Expect some very light sentences....

[–]Delta_Gamer_64 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

jeez, the kapra is nice but the rest is not

[–]Acrobatic_Sport_7664 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not wrong though.

[–]gteyahdkfk 39 points40 points41 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Daughter is cute

[–]Delta_Gamer_64 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

she looks like her mom had sex with a computer

[–]RemCogito 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I went to a small metal concert on saturday, with aproximately 500 people in attendance. I saw around 15 people in masks. I think they should be showing mug shots. or past pictures. but there are definitely still people wearing masks. heck one of my co-workers has a daughter with a bunch of immune system disorders. She will likely be wearing a mask in public for the foreseeable future, now that wearing a mask in public is no longer a misdemeanor where I live.

[–]caporaltito 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

MILF is bored with husband, sleeps with a young guy for a while then breaks up. The young guy blackmails her into continuing the relationship by threatening to share sextapes to her husband and they end up killing him and his friend by ramming his car.

I don't know how any of these trash people could have my sympathy. Nothing to do with Mens' rights.

[–]Peon-Flux -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

“Milf” lol maybe 20 years and 50 lb ago. Daughter is cute.

[–]ElectronicBoss2845 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Damn

[+]Terror-Error -10 points-9 points-8 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not really a men's rights issue. We don't even know who was driving the vehicle at the time. Of course if they get off without any punishment that will be a different story. The case is still ongoing so we shall see. But we probably won't.

[–]Jammapanda 24 points25 points26 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

well if kind of is considering that (as a woman myself) i highly doubt their sentence will be a long one, and from what i understand they aren't even sitting in jail until their trial is completed or whatever.

i know men who have gone to jail and sat for a long time for their case to go to trial because they had like an ounce of weed on them. this is a double homicide...

[+]gowithflow192 -8 points-7 points-6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This really has nothing to do with mens rights at all (assuming the purported story about blackmail is factually correct).

[–]Peon-Flux 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Has affair, blows up in her face, commits murder to avoid accountability. Sounds pretty par for the course 🤣

[–]EvidencePlz 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fake news. Women are non-violent angels and don't commit crimes.
