Good question! I’d drop the “if you” part, because that’s what may be making it feel naggy. Just say “I’d love (fill in the blank).” Another go-to for me is “(Whatever thing) would make me so happy right now.”

When my bf asks me what I want (say, between two options), I give this big cheeky smile, say nothing and patiently wait for him to guess. It makes him ultra curious what I want, so he keeps guessing and stays on edge for my microexpressions.

When he finally guesses correctly, I raise my eyebrows ever so slightly, enlarge the smile s little, and this expression combined with the silence & release of tension is so funny that we both have a good laugh. By that time he remembers what I want and associates it with his effort, and my laughter, and he is so excited to give me what I want.

On other times when I see/hear something that I want I make that same suggestive face, and he understands immediately, and he goes and gets me that.

I think he just loves proving that he can read my mind. It's like a game he is motivated to win. It also involves tension, laughter, and eye contact. And previously, we had communication problems. So proving himself able to understand his woman is a big win for him.

imply, imply, imply! if youre with a man who cares about you or knows you, doing things like sending him an IG reel about a cool restaurant and saying “a date night here would be so perfect” or “it hurts my feelings when you raise your voice at me when we argue” are ways to help. talk about how it hurts you or makes you feel a negative emotion to actions you dislike. men love problem solving, and if he’s for you, he’ll make an effort to stop if it hurts or to do something if you enjoy it :)
