The double standard and hypocrisy is palpable. In today’s society and in marriage especially, men are expected to provide, shut up and just be happy they get to have a mate and that’s it. Not valued or appreciated at all. If a husband did this stuff to their wives on Mother’s Day, all hell would break lose. They’d be guilted and lambasted about it.
