In most states, if the new home was purchased AFTER you were married, then it’s considered a marital asset and you would be entitled an equal share of the equity. Deed, mortgage, etc are all irrelevant.

She wants to bull doze you into giving it to her. Give nothing.

you are probably SOL

they would consider your time / effort as "gift" and i doubt you have anyway of proving how much money your time was worth back then.

you could maybe claim unjust enrichment on part of the house from when she moved in with you until you got married or sold e.g. the difference in price between what the house would have sold for when she moved in until you got married. you should get some money for and not just all her since you can show you paid rent and you did renovations to the house.

but that's hard to come up with for a number though especially if you did a lot of renovations and don't have proof of value of that and if it's a short period of time then it's not worth it but if the place jumped in value because she lived in your apartment for a year or so then it could be.

also, if you got married before the house sold then you should be able to claim for the value increase from when you got married until it sold at the very least.

but that's a question for your lawyer to be honest and i don't know if that exists everywhere.

You could ask your attorney but you’re not entitled to any of that profit. With my divorce only assets that were split were from the day of marriage to our separation date which was listed on the initial divorce filing. I would assume that’s fairly standard state to state.

Let me give you example not sure if that helps. I bought a new car before marriage and then during marriage I traded it in to another car. Current market value of second car is exactly the same as my trade in value. This assets considered premarital and is not divided.
