I meet quite a few PR people in the course of the work I'm doing right now. They're almost exclusively very middle-class young women who are clearly on a very solid income, often more than the engineers who built the devices they're selling. All they actually seem to do is sit around in offices wearing high heels, organise launch parties and write very poor-quality press releases which do nothing but reveal how little they actually understand the product. I may not agree with any particular person about what a "lazy girl" job really means, but I'd associate the term with the average flack.

Sure, have fun with that. We're at the cusp of seeing massive lay offs in regards to useless office jobs such as "communicator", HR staff beyond what's needed for base tasks, and many more. In fact, any job that's about dressing up something in "correct" language until there's barely any message left, all that is increasingly useless. People consider that spam anyway and don't read it. That goes for both customers and internal employees.

Meanwhile, men work hard to keep up to date with the technical development in order to hang in there.

Oh, and by the way. Men work in logistics, women work with decorating store spaces and shop windows. Which direction is consumption going? Yep, online.

For a long while, things have been favorable for women and people in cushy positions were actual work output seems secondary. I expect the pendulum to swing back hard soon. It has to.
