The most common themes of red/black pill rhetoric from not only it's followers and influencers but also it's critics is the discussion of the "nice guy". While this topic gets talked about a lot, I seldom see anyone try to dig under the surface when it comes to actually responding to this narrative and I believe that it's a big reason why the manosphere continues to gain influence.
The red/black pill grifter will always make surface level arguments that women find men who are kind to be unattractive and weak. Men who are strong who don't come across as weak or vulnerable and don't show emotional weakness when they are around women, they are confident and in control of their emotions, so this stupid "nice guy" narrative can resonate and resonate hard with someone who does feel weak, insecure, inadequate and emotionally vulnerable.
What I seldomly see brought up, even by critics and debunkers of the red-pill nonsense is the sensation of people pleasing behavior. While people-pleasing behavior is also something that effects women just as much as men, male people pleasers are usually the ones who get specifically targeted and exploited by manosphere influencers from not only the red pill but also it's horrible cousin the black-pill/incel ideology. And it's unfortunately very easy for men to associate their people pleasing behavior as just being "nice".
It's also worth pointing out that a lack of proper self-care and deep feelings of resentment are both symptoms of "nice guys" and for people pleasers. Source for this here.
Often the advice a lot of people pleasers need to hear is that they need to stand up for themselves, learn to be more assertive and to start setting boundaries for themselves. For someone who has little or no self-worth or had a history of mistreatment/abuse in the past (especially if the mistreatment comes from women), the red pill's surface level "nice guys finish last" narrative can really sound no different than the healthy "setting boundaries" advice.
I believe one of the best ways we can really effectively combat the influence of the manosphere family of awful ideologies is to bring more attention to people pleasing behavior and provide more resources for this specific sensation rather than letting red pill influencers take hold of the conversation.
