I (16M) had an RE lesson today about gender equality, and it was entirely focused on the struggles of women. Yeah, they have problems which definitely outweigh ours, but that’s only catering to half of the population and disacknowledging the other half. Furthermore, I felt that the boys in the class, boys mind you, were made to feel responsible for events which occured practically a century before they were born. What little information about the struggles of men in the powerpoint was quickly swept over by the teacher in what felt like an attempt to hide it. I just feel so demotivated by the whole ordeal. Anyways, thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
