I noticed that Israelis say "men, women and children were victims". The US press says "women and children were victims".

I was getting really disgusted by Indian subs where all were sympathising with "women and children" and being ignorant that men suffer as well. I understand and sympathies deeply with what happened to those women but I believe men also suffer same or even more torture when they become war prisoners but never have I seen anyone talking about men's suffering in wars. I really went nuts thinking "are all men just treated as shield and spear in war and not humans at all ?" Its like we don't even exist for society and are always getting ignored subtly .

Really glad for your post OP , its nice to know that it just wasn't only me who was feeling this way.

In national news, newspapers, insta, everywhere. People want to explain how cruel a group is by listing their crimes on women, children and elderlies.

It's a shame. And I really feel frustrated but don't show. Cause what happens around the world to human beings is so terrible I don't want to make a drama out of my feelings. Wouldn't be reasonabel and not even feel right.

Reddit's rules are literally biased so much that they say hate speech doesn't apply to anyone not in a protected class.

Marginalized or vulnerable groups include, but are not limited to, groups based on their actual and perceived race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or disability. These include victims of a major violent event and their families.

While the rule on hate protects such groups, it does not protect all groups or all forms of identity. For example, the rule does not protect groups of people who are in the majority or who promote such attacks of hate.

Then they banned all of the male subreddits like mgtow etc whilst keeping FDS or twoxchromosomes or all the other misandrist subreddits.

Ironically women hold the majority over men but are in the protected group...go figure

This is a big issue with me. Men killed is ok!

So i started doing something and some of you should do it too.

I m French/American and i don’t think i have ever heard the words “Women and children” together and the men left out so much ever.

So today i was watching a French program on youtube. It’s from a channel i subscribe to.

They had a panel of experts talking about the mess in Izrael and Gaza and a lady said “Women, children and elderly people killed”.

Actually her analyses of the situation was pretty good but that sentence just turned me off.

So i wrote her name down, found her email online and wrote a quick and polite email on how i enjoyed her views on the conflict beside for that phrase.

I think it’s the only way to get the message across.

You have to be polite while doing it even if you get a nasty answer.

We just need to make people aware of this.

Also note that it’s men and feminists in the vast majority that do it.

And when told “Men are the violent ones”, remind them that women give birth to these future violent men and raise them at a majority.

“Children” always first!!!

This comes from the old days when it was crucial for some nations to have as many children as possible. The most valuable lives were therefore those of children, and also fertile women because someone had to make more children and take care of them.

Nowadays it makes no sense to treat men and women differently. This is pure patriarchy, but you won't see many feminists complaining about it, for some reason.

As dumb as it is I do kinda know why in times of war women and children’s lives are prioritized.

It’s really as simple as, women will produce the next generation and children are the next generation.

If your woman and children get decimated by war then when the war is over you will have a major population issue with the next generation. After war you still need people to run the country and rebuild. Historically during and after war it’s women and children that are rebuilding. Because the male population has been brutally decimated. So women and children have to take males jobs while the male population replenishes.

This is because typically women and children are not sent to war so they are going to by default be the survivors.

It is also a cultural thing as well. In many countries they prioritize their women and children’s lives for the reasons I explained but that seeps into the culture. It also pulls on men’s natural instinct to protect. So it’s meant to anger men when they hear about women and children dying. Because females only really have the instinct to protect children. So having the male death % doesn’t really do anything to motivate men or women.

That being said, it definitely downplays the lives of men.
