As for the claim, assuming this story hasn't just been invented for ratings - Claimant looks suspicious; still needs to be investigated... but if she turns out to be lying for publicity, throw the book at her.

My state increases the statute of limitations from 3 to 30 back in 2018. I was vehemently against it, 30 years is an incredibly long time. 3 years is ludicrously short, but come on. That's a generation and a half.

ETA: my mistake, not 30 years. There is no sol for forced rape. It can be commenced as long as the suspect is alive.

Like, if I was ever assaulted, the only thing that would make me feel when worse is knowing that I could have done something to stop it from happening to someone else, but didn't...
