I'm a double idiot, I have her name and we have matching tattoos (together 25 years before she cheated).

The matching tats no big deal, I picked the design and it has meaning to me on my own. The name tattoo is in the middle of my sleeve and I'm not sure what I could do that wouldn't mess up the surrounding art or just be a big black blob.

So far I have just left it as a "least I forget" reminder to never get married again.

Unfortunately I do have one and I’m regretting it but a lot of my tattoos remind me of our time so I’m about start getting them blacked out.

Ah man… we got a few matching ones during our duration of dating and marriage. The others had other meanings hence no biggy. But then we both got a heart and a skull on the our wrist.

Plus it was a super bad artist whilst on honeymoon … (I had that covered up whilst still being married - 2 years marriage btw).

Then, we obviously also got the ring tattoo. I’ve had my first session on that as she asked to get divorced 3 weeks ago… As they say ‘no regratz’ haha

I honestly don’t mind any - except the ring tattoo.

Not me. But an ex girlfriend has my name tattooed on her butt (she did it on her own). But it was a cheaply done one. And the loop of the J for “Jim” was missing. So she showed me and I said “who’s Tim?” We broke up a year later and she got a cover up.

Not a couple tattoo but the same day my divorce was finalized two hours later I started a 9 hour side piece that had to be broken up in two sessions because of it being on my ribs

I have “I love xxxx” on my shoulder. God I was such a tool when I was 19… 33 trying to think of something not ridiculous to cover it up with.

Literally every middle aged man I knew at the time told me not to do it… AND to not get married.

Guess I should’ve listened… 😒
