Just one more week until I move out. We’ve been stuck in the same house for 8 months since separation and I can’t wait!

I thought these past few weeks might be the hardest but I’m excited. My ex is out with her boyfriend this weekend and her Mom is now in town to help her pack. It’s all a bit of a soap opera really but in one week I’ll have my own space and a big weight will be off my shoulders.

I have a great girl I’ve been seeing for over 3 months, great family, friends, colleagues. I’m looking forward to this new chapter. My boys seem to be handling it in their stride. I worry for them but will parent the best I can.

My ex will be moving less than a km from where I am. That’s ok. Makes it easier for the kids. I doubt I’ll run into her too much but I do hope we can coparent well.

I’ve been so on guard for 8 months but putting those barriers down a little and letting a lot of the shit sink in. I’m sure there is some trauma to work through a little but overall I’m feeling positive. I appreciate this community. It was a big help during the more tumultuous times.
