I don't think you'll get any disagreement here with your views.

But I, for one, disagree with your terminology. If you look at what feminists do in the name of gender equality, it's just female privilege and anti-male discrimination. Gender equality is not equality - it's opposed to it.

We believe in equality for men and boys. Feminists believe in equality for women. I believe in both and some others here do, too.

I do aspire to a sort of equality, depending on how equality is defined. I may think differently from most MRAs, but as an example, I would be fine with a male-only draft if the unique obligation placed on men was balanced by some advantage. When I say I want equality, I mean I want an equal balance of rights and responsibilities. In some cases, it's just not practical to have equal rights, or equal responsibilities, because men and women have different capacities to perform some responsibilities, or different needs when it comes to rights.

Neither feminism nor masculism are necessarily gender equality. They seek to end problems associated with a certain gender instead of ending sexism as a whole.

However, MRAs nowadays are way less sexist than most people nowadays. Most people in the 2020s are either misandristic "feminists" or tradcon misogynists. Thanks a lot, ChinaTok.

In legal gender equality? Yes. Everyone should be equal under the Law.

In acting like men and women are exactly the same in all ways? No.

Discrimination isn't always bad. It's fine to say that most women probably couldn't drag a 6' 200 lb man wearing another 70 pounds of gear out of a firefight, and account for that fact in your unit makeup, as an example.

It's fine to say that men and women tend to be motivated by different things or place higher/lower value on things than the other.

Many of the issues that arise come down to biology. Men are naturally hierarchical. Women are communitarian. Look up the terms. That’s why the concept of respect is interpreted differently by the genders.

Depends on what you mean by "believe in".

I don't think we're currently anywhere close to it, so in that sense of "believe in" of "do I believe it's a thing presently", I don't believe in gender equality.

I certainly wish that at the very least, all laws were written in a gender neutral way. I also wish people didn't play favorites along gender lines, but that's a stretch goal. Hell, if tomorrow some Weird Stuff happened and all the subsequent births were of fully functional hermaphrodites (in the actual, biological sense of the term, i.e. humans with both sets of organs being fertile at both ends) resulting in a monosexed humanity, resulting in gender equality by default since it's hard to have gender discrimination in a monogendered world, I'd be very, VERY happy. In the "man, it's a thing worth having and worth working towards" sense of "believe in", I certainly do believe in gender equality.

Yes, even though i believe a patriarchy is better for many reasons, for example women are hypergamous by nature a woman being the same status and having the same wealth as a man severly damages relationships and reproduction since women won't see the men equal to them as attractive,also the fact that women biologically tend to be more emotional and have in group bias makes them bad in voting, but in the state the world is in right now just having equal rights sounds good enough

It’s rare that I see anyone here state they believe men deserve to be advantaged. Most believe in gender equality, which is a stark contrast to the feminists subs where most advocate one sex be advantaged over the other.

I don't believe in neither equality or egalitarianism. The very purpose of the modern political /social movement is to blur the lines between feminine and masculine values/aspects, and if they succeed we will all be "non-descript citizens" who can and will identify as anything, not just mentally but physically aswell. If that happens, then there would be "equality", but as we are today, men and women, being fundamentally different, we can not be equal. Both present values, serve purposes and fill roles (sometimes eachothers) but I don't believe two things that are so unlike eachother can be called generally equal in anything else other than importance to society.

I don't. It's an idealistic concept. Men might be equal to women, but men aren't equal within their own group as well as women aren't equal within their own group. Only a small portion of men and women can achieve it.

As general maxims - absolutely not.

Not equality, neither egalitarianism.

Makes 0 sense.

Men an women are completely different.

They have different strengths, weaknesses, differences, challenges and histories.

Blatant examples include pregnancy, draft and military action in armed conflict, and many more.

There are areas where it would make sense - such as in front of the law, but even there it is more gradients and never happening.

Simple truth is women give birth, men don't, society needs children to move ahead, thus you will never see the law applied to women to the same degree, which is why you see them serve less sentences for crimes committed, especially regarding duration of imprisonment. Because outside of lala land a women being in prison during her potential reproductive years is not the same as a man for society.

Simple other realities are that when shit comes to push, we have the collective survival instinct and intelligence to understand what is up. From the time the first Russian tanks rolled in and the first bullets started flying, in other words when the it-is-happening kicked it, it took the second largest country by land area (behind only Russia) and 7-ish largest by population - Ukraine of course - like 48 hours to settle that there are 2 genders, one of them is no longer allowed to leave the country if aged 18 to something like 60, and the chance of survival at the front lines correlates with MANpower - not politically correct people power or whatever. No one asked about such pressing matters as how many women where in commanding positions or whatever either.

Now I will say that actual real hatred or discrimination against someone based on any such characteristic as gender is dumb and net negative, but you don't get to spin insane conclusions from that forward.

By virtue of the differences it should be obvious that social mechanisms, programs and others need to be tailor made to address the specific needs, but the trick is not to make it a proposition of opposition and always tie it into diametrically opposed conflict. If man struggle more in schools and drop more out, then you should probably have programs to address that. And you don't need to do that at the expanse of women either.

These terms always sound good, because if you don't think them through end to end from their paper version to how you apply them in the real world, they imply a feel good level of fairness, that can't be used in the real world, because of the constraints of reality. In example, maybe seeing hot, fit women inspires men to work harder on themselves, and seeing men like that does too. Maybe for women it damages their mental health. Well. You share say a city. So now you have to either remove those pretty advertisements or not. Maybe women simply are not interested in most men and would prefer to share the same top men around, so maybe laws that favor polyamory are a good thing then. But maybe the men seeing such laws passed will not be happy with the incentives being created here further disadvantaging them. List goes on.

That being said bottom line is we have not figured the needs of most people out yet, which is why the pendulum keeps swinging around - but I am not of the group that thinks this is an unsolvable problem.

For starters though you will see a magically overlap of the people currently loosing current culture/society thing always fighting for free speech, openness, honesty, ... and the other side finding all kinds of justifications for more censorship and control.
