So I have been in the game for years and been a part of major pickup groups. Over that time, I have gamed with over 50 different guys who were wingmen that I met on the forums and chats. Here are some toxic and low value behaviors I have seen that I think most men joining pickup have. Not only do these behaviors make these men unattractive wings, they also make them awful with women long-term.

Clinginess and aggressive pushiness.

You tell them that you are busy and they still push you to come sarge with them. You tell them that you have had something come up but they get upset and try to insult you for not sarging with them. It's like these dudes cannot understand that you have a life outside of game and hanging out with them. If you have a wingman that displays this behavior, cut them out immediately.

Whining, bitterness, complaining, and constant negative comments.

Women are bitches. Women in city X are awful. Women in the current city you are gaming at are trash. If you go out with a wing and the whole time they talk about how awful the dating culture is in a given city, you need to lose that wing fast. Sure, it is okay to say that a given city is tough and you need to bring your A game but if all they are doing is complaining the whole time, you need to lose that guy. These men will kill your vibe.

Now this also applies to wings that complain nonstop about things they cannot control. I had an Asian wing who whined all the time about how racist American women are and his vibe was very negative. After a couple of sessions with him, I immediately cut him off.

Lack of any ownership or accountability.

Guy does an approach, gets blown out when it was an awful approach, and then proceeds to talk about how the girl was a bitch. Yes, some women are awful and some are bitchy. However, there is a lot you can do to improve yourself. If your wing is constantly talking about how women are the problem or the city is the problem but never what they are doing, then you need to lose that wing fast. These guys are egomaniacs who might stay in the game for a while but always have mediocre at best results. You do not want to associate or affiliate with them.

Pleasure from another guy's misery, especially if that guy is doing game.

If they see some guy get blown out and then laugh about it hysterically or they love seeing other guys lose, you need to lose that wing. Men like this are selfish and often want to see others fail so they can succeed. On the flip side, I have had a wing who saw a guy doing game get blown out and immediately told him that he was a brave dude for doing what he did. Come to find, two years later, that wing of mines has dated three girls since we first hung out and all three of them were of model quality. Successful and cool guys do not take pleasure in another man's misery, this is a very low value trait.

Pedestalizing a lifestyle or certain kinds of men.

I know this may confuse all of you but be on the lookout for this.

When you have a wing who sees a guy with a hot girl and is constantly talking about how he wishes he had a hot girlfriend just like that and wanders how men end up with such women, you should pause. Chances are, your wing really doesn't want to do any cold approach. What your wing wants is a shortcut to get a hot girlfriend and there is nothing wrong with that. However, if you are a guy trying to approach women so you can get laid, have a rotation, or raise your lay count, this wing is incongruent with who you are.

If your wing is pedestalizing and hyping up social circle game or guys with massive circles, you need to move on. Chances are, you have a wing that doesn't even want to be a part of the game itself and won't develop much in cold approach.

Not having their shit together.

They live with their parents in the suburbs but yet drive 30 minutes to daygame downtown. They don't have a legitimate career or way to make money but spend all of their time chasing women. Most are broke and have made no effort to improve their life circumstances but then they spend majority of their time on game chats to chase after women. A lot of these kinds of guys are usually not in a good spot in life and are using cold approach/PUA scams as a way to escape real responsibility. You don't want a wing that is exactly a millionaire but your wingman does need to have his shit together.
