It’s all based on your own insecurities. Also, you fuck women you’re not into because it’s easy. Here’s the rub; as you go along in life you’re going to find there’s a huge disparity between what you want and what you can get when it comes to women. You might very well end up marrying a woman you’re not that into for one reason or another. It’s called settling. you answered the question here. it's all about yourself. we can't really fix anything or offer useful advice because i don't know enough about your life. a therapist will help you get to the bottom of this. some past experiences and trauma are making you take decisions you don't really enjoy. of course you could just stop fucking these girls but you have something that veers kind of like an addiction (although it's all psychological).

Either they are easy, you're desperate or you subconsciously just want a girl that you won't be into so you won't be attached and avoid commitment. Obviously it could be something else but from what you've given us... You just need to sort out what you want from these encounters. If it's just sex, why do you care? They're just gonna be people you hook up with and forget anyway. Also I wonder what kind of girls you're fucking with. Are they that unattractive or do you have high expectations/standards? You're probably choosing girls you don't like to scratch an itch. Because you're not into them it's easier for you to walk away without being bothered about using them.

Likely you're not currently equipped with tools or not emotionally available for a relationship. Rather than fail at what you really want, you choose the wrong path.

Possibly, put sex and dating on hold and figure yourself out. Continue on the current path, and you may end up sticking yourself in crazy.

I have pretty much the same problem. I’m really fortunate to be not so bad looking, so pretty much every girl is attracted to me. For a while I was like “why am I not using this to my advantage and bang every girl I possibly can?”. This led to me significantly lowering my bar and hooking up with chicks I wasn’t into for the sake of getting laid. I don’t think this was a great idea because it’s making me feel emptier and emptier. Now I swore to myself I’m only going after the girls that are in my league that I am legitimately attracted to.

You're not the only one. I've had the same issue and yes I mean when it comes to performance too.

If you're like me you probably feel the need to hook up with women even if you don't like them to keep up with your friends or improve your status.

But it gets old after a while. Hence the performance issues.

Not sure if that resonated with you at all but that's pretty much where I'm at.

I also deleted tinder and try to meet women rock climbing or when I'm out and about.

I have the same issue on a lower level which is entertaining romantic relationships with girls I’m into but not so much as to be willing to spend the rest of my life with them.

I hold out enough not to hook up with them but the result is the same, frustration when it all ends on both sides. On hers because I was wasting her time in a way and mine because I know what I want in a girl and can’t get it and/or find it.

How do you cope with having to settle? What’s the point if you’re with someone and every time you look at her at the back of your head there’s always that voice that says you’re settling because you know what you really want and it’s close but it’s not this?

I think most guys when they are young. Some when they are old go through a period like this. When I was in college I got heart broken. At the time I wanted to be single for the rest of my life. But I also didn't feel like leading anyone on. So I would tell them upfront that I was dating other people. I am not into anything serious right now. Some was cool with it. Some were not. That was fine. But if they started catching feelings they were warned.

Eventually I ran into someone I had feelings for. I married her. We had 13 great yrs together. At year 15 I was like why da fuck did I get married. But overall those 20 yrs, dating and married, I still wouldn't of traded them in.

So have your fun. Try to fuck hot girls. Eventually when the time is right you will meet the right one.

Dude I feel this 1000%. I was going through that today, picked up an old girl i used to bang at the airport for a layover in my city so we could kick it for a few hours i.e. hook up. Since I’ve been on a no-fap/retention wave I came super fast but figured I’d bounce back after a little while. What actually happened was that right after I came I reverted from a massive cumbrain to my normal self and was pretty horrified that I had to hang out with this girl for 2 more hours. She was cute enough to bang once but beyond that I’m not into her at all, I just couldn’t get horny again, and she was kind of annoying me which didn’t help at all. I realized that I really need to get my money up and don’t compromise my standards and only really attractive girls.

I can see doing this to get past a dry spell or if building confidence from the ground up. But long term have to up your standards which means often going for who you want vs just who you can easily get.

I also unfortunately see a lot of guys on dating apps do this where the cards are stacked against them and they get desperate for anything. Do not use OLD as your only way to meet women.

I understand that this could be a bad habit to break, much like binge drinking or chain smoking. It's probably worth figuring out when you decide that you don't like them, and when you decide that you're inevitably going to have sex with them anyways.

I think a good solution of this would be to have the mindset of "flirting is filtering" rather than "flirting is attracting". I mean obviously escalating is a part of flirting, but it's one side of the coin. Rather as you're flirting with someone you should be deciding whether or not you truly like them.And you should force yourself to have high standards.
