Direct is good, but if you're saying you're "dry", that's not great, try to be playful.
Give yourself time, for me it took probably around 200 approaches (not sure, I stopped counting pretty quickly) before I figured out the details and got laid off of this for the first time - and apparently that's pretty average, some guys learn quicker, others learn slower, the important part is that you get all of the mistakes out of the way quickly and actually LEARN from them instead of just repeating what isn't working.
Asking a friend to observe or record you is an ok idea.

Not trying to offend but maybe it's because you are asian? I'm black living in Germany going for white girls and I get rejected basically all the time and numbers lead to nowhere :/

It sounds corny but journal about each interaction as soon as you can after then periodically go back and read through. You'll start to see patterns in what works or doesn't and how you were feeling. Your vibe is important & that's why practice works. You lose the fear of rejection & the confidence that it's not going to shake you EITHER WAY shows

I wouldn't do this at all. I think it's a stupid strategy and will lead to nowhere. I do remember you from your post though and you got some good advice about haircut and clothes. Did you change you wardrobe or do you still dress like a middle aged man?

If I were to guess, I would say you are probably a stem major, have some sort of a software development/engineering role where you socialize with men exclusively, play video games and spend a lot of time jerking off to porn. Going out and socializing isn't your thing. How close am I?

Instead of preying on girls and approaching them, instead start going out to places you haven't been before, linger a little longer, get to know people. Socialize just for the sake of socializing without any expectations or an agenda. You may find that it is great to talk to people without expecting them to give you their number or express sexual interest in you. Challenge your fears and phobias.

As you become more comfortable in these situations, start applying the same principles to women you find attractive. Go and talk to them without expectations or an agenda. When you have an agenda, you are always trying to angle the interaction so that you can get her number or get her interested, etc. Instead, go and talk to her to find out if she's an interesting person. Make small talk. See how that goes. If she is giving you signals and encouraging you, get into deeper more personal topics. If she is still there, say, "you seem pretty cool. I would love to get to know you over a proper date. Give me your number, I will call you tomorrow and make arrangements". Then fuck off.

No offense my Asian bro but you need to hit the gym a bit, also people saying that race plays a factor but that definitely does, I'm black and I live in Canada and the color of my skin definitely holds me back! Keep on approaching and trying to build rapport, you will get better with time, also day game is nice but try doing night game a bit, I have tons of videos to watch on how to behave and interact with females in night game situations here's a great video by gambler https://youtu.be/9mVFtDiMyLY

I’ve done cold approach so many times as you have that many of my memories are just rejections, nothing comes of it, only at two points or three in my life have cold approaches worked with two or three women that wanted to pursue me at the time but I recall I didn’t want them…they later moved on to get married and move countries or cities.

I however still remain single and bartending, HOWEVER, the cold approach still applies behind the bar and I personally feel from a completely different perspective, serving drinks and getting to literally speak to gorgeous women and instead of ME going to them, THEY come to me (for drinks,food) but at times the capacity for establishing an emotional connection is higher YET YOU STILL cannot live expecting anything from a cold approach, OR improvement because 1. It doesn’t work that way and 2. It’s unrealistic.

Each person in the end is going to meet who they’re going to meet and that can’t be changed.

Hope this angle helped, you can waste your week doing endless cold approaches and at the end of the month the result will remain the same, you can’t outrun fate.
