Just because some women don’t like it doesn’t mean all women on earth are the same. It’s like asking: do men like being talked to? Some do, some do not. Much like with everything else.
You cannot generalise about what people like or dislike.

Underrated comment here.

So... maybe you'll hit an unlucky streak and almost no women who you talk to will enjoy talking to you
[–]CocoBabeNYC 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No. The human race has procreated through immaculate conception for millions of years.

Yup. Time to Bible up bruh

They like being talked to by people they like. If they don't like someone it is a nuisance

I need context?
Generally I enjoy talking to people, I’m quite a sociable person.
But if it’s in a ‘I want to fuck you and invade your personal boundaries’ or ‘I’m gonna get in the way of you doing a task that you are clearly trying to get done’ it’s quite annoying

Omg yes! If im busy and someone talks to me imma be very short and say, "excuse me, I need to x"
I've been interrupted reading my book a few times
And when I ask basically in a nice way to be left alone
Some of them have said, "oh. Well I thought since you're not busy I could talk to you"
Like dude. I AM busy. Reading.
Some dudes just assume since I'm outside I'm signaling to them "try to pick me up"
I get them flirting and trying to talk. I don't mind UNTIL they pester about it and don't take a hint. Then I have to be more blunt and it just ruins my 30 minutes of peace I was having.
I don't go to the park to try to get laid. I normally go to do park activities and I think the men who are going to the park to get laid project that onto us and assume we are there for that too

If you were reading a book & DRAKE tried to talk to you would you be annoyed? Haha girls are inherent birds.
[–]runaround_fruitcop 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
In what universe would Drake talk to me in the park? In what universe are celebrities and "chads" just walking up to me and interrupting my book.
I really don't want anyone bothering me when I'm busy or previously or obviously engaged.
I don't always mind if a person talks to me. What I do mind is a person pestering me or being overly pushy.
You can say girls this girls that. But no one really wants to talk to people when they're actively trying to do an activity that's usually a solitary activity.

No You’re right, what I said may apply better to other girls

If you're doing something that requires focus or attention to detail and someone you don't know starts making small talk about the weather or something, wouldn't you also be a bit miffed if it wasn't dire?
I'm not rude to people who talk to me, but I also don't enjoy being approached when im in the middle of concentrating.
If im walking and not making eye contact with anyone with large af headphones on that are blasting music. Reading or studying, what makes you think I wanna talk to ANYONE
Idc if it's a "hot" person. I get Irritated easily when my routine gets interrupted. I try to be nice and polite, but I can't change the fact it irritates me.
[–]Sumbuddyonce 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Well, she's not underage so Drake wouldn't be talking to her

Some insight: throughout mankind up until the past 50 years, men have been attracted to women 15+, that’s why in Hispanics cultures they have quinceanera’s, Indonesia has Melanie’s when they have their first period, Ji Li in Confucianism when a girl is 15, it’s a mark of when girls were stated to be a “woman” and can be married and have sex/give birth. Not saying it’s right or wrong, only stating facts that for men it’s fighting against thousands of years of evolution. I personally don’t get at girls under 21, but I judge semi-forgivingly when I see guys that go 17-18. It’s what biology and society has cultivated from us for our entire existence. Until about 40-50 years ago.
Again, not saying I agree or if it’s right or wrong. Just some insight

Women like to talk to guys that have looks and status. They don’t like guys that are ugly with no swag.
[–]P7o7s7t7a7l 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women are usually always approachable as long as it is normal to. If you're interupting them it's just a matter of whom is being nicer about it.
You can't be rude in action, as much as rude in your words. Who would be rude anyway?
[–]Calamity__Bane 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It’s bullshit lol, what they don’t like is having their boundaries or personal space invaded by someone who doesn’t know how to have a good conversation, they like to talk to normal people under normal conditions provided they aren’t occupied with something they deem important.

<sighs deeply> I give up with this sub.

This is not about what you look like or who you are or what your status is. This is about context and showing the slightest amount of an ability to read the room.
A lot of men think their hornyness, loneliness, or need to socialize is somehow important enough to make the people they need help from uncomfortable and inconvenienced. The logic to this is incredibly flawed. Don't do it.

Have you seen the meme where it was Riotting or Protesting display card and the only difference between each one was depending on the shade of their skin? Well it’s like that except it depends on if your attractive or not, and the options are Harrassment or flirting.
[–]AngeloMacon 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Wait, they tell you this? What's the context? Like some guy approaches them at a bar and they come back to you and tell you how much of a creep the guy is?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Subjective, do you look good to them? Then yes
[–]vinocarlovinie 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
What?!
[–]sincere_blasphemy 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It really depends on the person. For me, it depends on my mood and the situation. If I am in a good mood and not actively engaged with a task that’s involves focus, whether that is talking on the phone, reading a book/listening to music, or eating something, I’m open to polite, small conversation. GENERALLY… I’m not interested in making friends with strangers or getting picked up (I’m taken). I have to already be engaged in a social setting, such as at school or at work or at a party/club to want to make friends. A lot of times I just am not feeling social and not interested in talking to anyone.
