In an ideal world, I would've fallen in young love with a childhood friend or classmate and we would've explored what it means to be physically intimate with each other under the stars on a hill in the countryside and had the unforgettable experience losing each other's virginity that neither of us could ever forget.

Well that ship has sailed, and now I'm a 23 year old virgin living at home trying to heed (some of) the advice I see in this subreddit. I, like most of us here I'd wager, am down bad, but that feeling still exists in me. I honestly don't think it'd be that hard for me to find some girl on Tinder who'd be down to hook up, but since it's my virginity I'm talking about giving up here, I still like the idea of that being with somebody special rather than just a random hookup with a Tinder girl.

Indeed, chatting with a girl from Tinder is what led me to ask this question. We've been messaging off an on for a couple months, met up once, it went decent, but I don't think either of us are really interested in pursing anything further. So I asked her recently in a drunken stupor if she was interested in just hooking up; something I'd been wanting to ask but the alcohol helped me pull the trigger.

Anyway, she said she isn't really interested in taking my virginity because she'd feel bad; it should be with somebody special. The part of her that hasn't had sex in over a year wants to say fuck it, but she lost her virginity to a rando and it led to her not care who she slept with for a while, which put her in a bit of a dangerous situation, so she took a bit of a break and now she'd feel bad if my first experience wasn't with somebody special.

And to an extent, I don't disagree. I don't think it'd be difficult to sleep with her if I just played my cards right, cause she didn't sound like she fully doesn't want to, but I do agree with the sentiment that it's something I'd want to be special, ideally with a girlfriend. I feel like sex has to be so much more meaningful when it's with someone you love and care for. That's what I really want. Yeah sex sounds great, but I just want to be wanted and loved, and sex as a physical extention of that is the kind of sex I want. I don't necessarily want my first experience to be a quick tinder fuck.

But at the same time, I could imagine this is the type of thing I'm completely overblowing and that it's not something that ultimately matters. For you chads out there who have actually touched a woman, what's your take on this? Anyway I wrote a lot of words to ask a simple question and I'd love any insight on it. Thanks!
