It sounds like you're a good enough looking guy that you get attention. That's ultimately a good thing. Gay men are flirting with you because men typically make the first move. It's rare that women openly flirt with straight men, that's just how it is. It's not unique to you.

Looking at your post history, you describe yourself as "really skinny" (5'11", 147lbs). I'd bet you come across as more feminine/gay than you think, unless your style is very masculine (short hair, beard, rugged clothing, etc). Your body language and personality can also be a factor.

Do they seem like gay tops or bottoms? Cuz there’s a difference, if they’re all hyper masculine gay tops, u might be coming across as “twinkish”. But otherwise u shouldn’t let it worry u, like others have said, it kinda means u’re at least somewhat attractive to even be attracting any attention at all. (I’m straight myself and have been hit on by gay dudes before, so I have given this some thought.)

I've been hit on by gay guys before. Yes, it feels awkward and you start to question why it's happening. It's weird when it happens.

But, keep in mind things aren't easy for gay people. They probably don't know who is gay and who isn't and they have to do these subtle things to find out. Also, be sure you aren't wearing tight shirts or clothing they recognize as part of the gay culture. You may not realize what it is. Best thing to do is go to a gay sub-reddit, ask them there. They will probably be your best source.

Don’t take it so seriously, I’ve gotten a few advances from gay men in the past too and honestly it’s pretty flattering. Girls don’t usually outright compliment you because that’s not how they’re brought up in society, although some will, most won’t.

The only times a girl will straight up approach a guy is if they’re like drop dead gorgeous, which makes them feel normalized for hitting on the guy, or if they’re a celebrity, which also normalizes the interaction.

Just take the compliment and feel more confident that somebody thinks you’re attractive.

As others have pretty much said, it’s probably not that you are presenting yourself as gay in any manner. It’s just that they find you attractive. Besides, they’d probably be able to tell if you were actually gay. I can speak from experience that sometimes you ignore your gaydar and hope for the best lmao

Youre doing something right. You probably have a good natural aesthetic to you and a decent fashion sense. It depends on the kind of gay dudes who are complimenting you though.

Remember, gay dudes are still dudes. They have to be aggressive and forward and bold just like us in order to get laid and date, so try not to let it bug you, definitely take the compliment, go even further and if a gay guy compliments you ask him exactly what he likes about you. Just make sure he knows you arent gay so it doesnt seem like youre hittin on him back.

Obviously youre catching eyes from them so im sure some girls notice you too, just hafta be more forward with the women, since they almost never make the first move unless they are tipsy or veryyyy bold individuals.
