Also the scale is logarithmic like the richter scale. Look it up. A 9 is 10x hotter than an 8 but 100x hotter than a 7.

I very rarely read any number below 5 in an FR

These girls are almost invisible to guys. We just don't think of them sexually so we don't even bother scoring them. I remember once in a bar saying to a wing, "The girls always seem so hot. Where are all the ugly girls?". "You block them out" he replied. Just as he said that I realized that there were a group of 4s/5s at the bar that I hadn't noticed. Point proven.

Also realize that the 1 - 10 scale includes all adult women. This includes say, a 70 yer old fat women. A 70 yr old fat women would probably be a 1. Since youth is such an attractive quality, and it's mainly younger people hanging out in bars (the location of most field reports), the average score of HBs in these types of venues will be higher than the average amongst the total population, so the results are skewed. In a bar where the average age is around 25, the average girl there will be a 7. In the street during the day where the average age is older, the average HB score will be a 5.

And yes, I'm sure you could knock a point or two off the score of girls in guys' field reports if you want to be realistic.

The way I look at it is: 10s will be as rare as an Irish black girl. I'm in HS, and there are about 2-3 10s in my entire school.

8-9s are similar in my book. 8s look very very good, 9s look nearly the same, but have something else. Could be social status or even just one little characteristic that the 8 doesn't have.

7s are girls you would not think twice about. Most definitely you would get with them, but there's not much SPECIAL about them as far as looks.

6s are girls you'd need a few beers or a dry streak to get with

5s are only acceptable when absolutely COCKED

4s and lower are pretty much a no no unless you're realllyyyyyyy smashed and they throw themselves at you. But you have to draw the line somewhere, I'd say about a 3 starts to be fat chicks and hairy girls.

In my opinion, objectively you can only go as high as an 9. A 10 is an objective 9 that is taken to 10 by subjective criteria (I like tall chicks, I like asses, I like chicks with glasses, etc). I've had numerous discussions with friends about whether someone is a X or Y and it seems like the only thing separating the final number vs. the general is what people find appealing to them and not something that is universally accepted.

For the rest... 5 is pretty much average or indifferent. 6-10 is progressively more attractive. 1-4 I don't really even think about numbering, but progressively more unattractive.

I feel like a superficial ass talking about numbering women. Fuck you, everyone does it.

There is only one way the 1-10 scale should be applied: how often she girl gets hit on, and how she views herself. The canonical writeup on this is here. Any other scale is subjective BS.

The reason that the scale is important is not to brag about how hot the girls you're picking up are - who cares what a bunch of Redditors think - it's that an 8/9 requires different game than a 6.

This is why if I'm using a 10 scale, 1 is neutral, 0 is do not want, and anything above 1 is levels above par. 10's are the kind that you meet very very rarely, I'm talking single digits per year.

This doesn't make a lot of sense...there is nobody on a top 100 list that isn't airbrushed.

And believe it or not, the majority of 10s aren't famous (outside of their area) and so wouldn't be able to get on a celeb list anyway.

10 represents a range, the same as 8 does....I have no problem giving 10 status to a top .001% chick. This means there are about 500,000 of them scattered around the world.

My frat brothers and I used to go to the middle of campus and we'd number some signs 1-10 and rate girls walking by. We always had very similar ratings even though I'm sure a lot of us had different tastes. When you see a girl, it's pretty easy to number her. When you go online later, it's not as easy, for multiple reasons. One, you want to make yourself look better. Two, maybe you met 3 different girls that night, and you know they were varying degrees of hot, but you don't want to rate the lowest one a 5, so you rate the lowest one a 7 and move up from there. On top of that, I don't think there will ever be an agreed-upon scale unless a mainstream movie has a character who describes it, and we all memorize it. Too many scales exist now.

All that being said, I think for the most part, when a guy describes a girl as a 9, he means that she's pretty fuckin hot. Maybe not model hot, but probably one of the hottest at the venue he was at. An 8 is probably someone not as hot as the hottest. And a 7 is someone who doesn't justify an 8 rating. Do we exaggerate? Yup. But you can just keep in mind that someone may be exaggerating and adjust accordingly. I don't think it's a big deal, until we talk about the different styles of pick-up between 7-10 girls.

I'll also say this, there aren't many if any true tens over the age of 27. They start to fade at that age. I've banged some really hot early 30's girls who were no doubt tens in their mid 20's, but have dropped to 7- 9 as they neared 30. Hell I dated a girl that had a pictorial in fairly well known soft core porn magazine who at 26 was a solid fucking ten, I was competing against pro athletes and musicians for her attention. Now she's 30 and she's probably a 7.5, just hasn't held up well. I'd say 10 is a fleeting thing at best. Even the perfect 10's will only be perfect 10's for a few years before they drop in rank.

It is my belief that most of the people with absurd standards for 10s have some kind of issue because they don't feel they DESERVE a 10. Once you believe you deserve the very best, it's easier to admit they're out there.

lol As an attractive female higher on your scale( I know this as Ive been told my rank), I firmly believe all your scales should be relative to your own scale...for example: If your a 7 on a hot chicks scale your not gonna get anywhere near a 10 on a hot guys scale. Your gonna have to lower your scale rating or change the requirements within them...your new 10 is a hot guys 7.

So really ranking people by cosmetic looks is very superficial. Ive never ranked men like that...in fact Ive heard lots my mate should have had a higher ranking...but I love him anyway. Its charisma, how you communicate, feel about yourself that's attractive...not your new 40.00 haircut and your 80.00 bottle of cologne that matches the earthy qualities of your 200.00 outfit, that you think makes you look cool. Upvote me; downvote me...who cares...I wanted to give you ranking men something else to consider other then image...we think of them too you know.

PS. Yes I was a hot model...wasas now Im not interested in the business.
