OK, here's the deal. I'm hanging out with a guy and girl tomorrow who are both in my social circle but none of us are best friends. There may be others there, as well, but they're maybes. This other dude and I are both interested in said chick. He's never told me this, but he's so clingy and needy that it oozes off of him. He's done this glomming-on to several chicks in our scene and he's been pretty much labeled creepy and gross by many. Basically, he's the ultimate "nice guy".

Now, I'm not really worried at all about him getting the girl. Frankly, if he's ever finally able to get more than LJBF'd, I'd probably throw the guy an epic party.

My question is how do I interact with him in this situation? (I think I know what to do with her!) Being he's a decent, although PUA-wise clueless, guy in my social circle, I don't want to destroy the dude, especially if other women are there who he might have an infinitesimal chance with someday. At the same time, he's very clingy and I don't want him to be all in the mix with me and the girl and blocking me, intentionally or not. It would be easy to cut him out since his social skills are nil, but then I'm worried about over-AMOGing him and having her pick up on it as me being a bully since the guy is so freaking beta. Any ideas?
