"We're going back to my place, I want to X" What is X?

Pictures, or movies. "My place is just around the corner. I'll show you those pictures of (some awesome thing I saw in the last place I visited)." Or, "Hey, I've got (some new movie from netflix) at my place, let's go make popcorn and watch it." Or, "Hey, I've got Firefly at my place. You're in for a treat. It's The Best Show Ever Made, and if you don't love it, we can never be friends." (I drama this one up, if they've never seen Firefly, because I really do love it, but I don't take the obsession too seriously, and I know that most girls just find it merely fun rather than worthy of worship. They do all like it, though, once they see it.)

I also have a dog, guitars, drums, bass, keyboards, and a few other interesting little tidbits, but those are pretty much never what I suggest we go see. None of those ever feel like the right thing to talk about, to me. The instruments would be try-hard in nearly every way I can conceive to bring them up, so I let that aspect of my life be a discovery when she gets here, and maybe we'll play at some point (probably after sex) if she's musical.

You should get more interesting stuff in your life, if you don't have anything interesting to share with someone. It doesn't need to be big and take up a lot of space...it just needs to be something worth showing to your friends (and new friends you want to sleep with).

in my opinion it doesn't matter what you "use". you shouldn't have the mindset that you need to "trick" girls into coming home with you. if you say let's head over to my place to watch Disney movies and she comes along it's not that you tricked her into doing so; you just gave her an excuse to comply. so what you say at that point shouldn't be as important as having build enough attraction and comfort before.

I usually end up talking about music, so we go to listen to whatever the latest album by some band is. Similarly, if you were talking about some video you saw online then you can go watch it.

It doesn't have to be good excuse. Just something she can tell her friends tomorrow morning. I was actually talking to my girlfriend about this the other day. We were talking about the first date we had, which went really well.

Her: "Do you remember why we went back to your place, anyways?

Me: "I don't remember what bullshit I fed you."

Her: "Me neither. I just wanted to get to get out of the bar."

Moral of the story: It doesn't matter what you say if she's down to fuck.

Music and movies always come up on a first date, and there's always at least one I name she's never heard of/seen before. That's my standard go-to, if I think I need one.

But I don't usually use this method for going back to my place. My method is more often: go to bar A, then after 1-2 hours I say "hey let's get out of here, finish your drink." I take her to bar B. After 1-2 hours, assuming things are looking good, I do the same thing, but when we get outside the bar I just say "we're going back to my place". If she asks why (maybe half the time), I'll tell her to listen to blah music we talked about.
