[Ideas?] Where do you go if you have nothing to do on a Friday night in a college town?

Open for people. I've met alot of people this way. I'll see a few guys hanging out checking out a group of girls, but are too scared to approach them. I'll go up to one of the guys and say "You like the blonde or the brunette?" Then just go up to the girls and open them, start a conversation and introduce them to 'my very shy friends over there'.

The girls see you as the outgoing leader of the group [of people you don't actually know] and the guys see you as some sort of hero.

Just go out anyways man. Don't be afraid of it. It's a Friday night in a college town- you could take one step out the door and start meeting people. Go to bars, go to any place you would normally go to if you had friends. Make some friends. And read the sidebar if you haven't already.

go bars, meet the bartenders and the staff, get to know them. Then you can act like you run the place when they all give you high fives and free drinks.

or just start talking to people. its college, everyone wants to fuck everyone else, no worries.

i was with a friend in los angeles once, and on my way home i took a train. the train stopped in new orleans (and i love the shit out of new orleans) so i stopped there for the weekend.

i live in the northeast, so i didn't know anybody down there. i just walked to bourbon street and wandered around. i had a great time. drunk people are easy to meet and befriend. try it out.

Create something to do. Have your own house party. Or if you don't have enough friends, a small dinner party. Even if it's small, it's got to start somewhere.
