I came across a situation today where I'm really interested in how you guys read.

Background: I've been flirting with a girl who works across the street from my place for awhile. Last week I got her number, took her out Wednesday, everything seemed to go great (body language, conversation). Our date ended on an awkward note though when I dropped her off at her car and her dad and sister were waiting. She texted me apologize later that night and I let it go.

The situation: Today I texted her and she was out with a friend. They both swung by and we grabbed ice cream. On the way out, I said bye to her friend then leaned in to kiss her and she pulled back. I'm sure I looked surprised. She said, "I'm sorry ... it's .. we haven't even hugged yet". So I hugged her and said goodbye.

What do you guys think about that? May sound weird but I've never been rejected from a kiss before. I'm thinking write her off, no saving this one. Thoughts?
