I'm 28, and had a severe outbreak of acne about a month ago. I went to the doctor, and he prescribed doxycycline, which cleared up the infection in 4 weeks.

The antibiotics cost about $2/month at Wegman's, and have few if any side effects. Unless you're one of the 0.5% for whom the drugs are ineffective, you shouldn't even be wasting the time to discuss this issue. Just go get it treated and forget about it.

As much as we let it. I find that we often are our biggest critics. I look in the mirror and will see zits, but then look at a girl with some and it's no big deal. Only a big deal if you make it one.

For the longest time I was a little insecure about my height, 5'6. But then I realized there's nothing I can do about it, so why dwell upon it. Also there's plenty of guys my height and shorter that are successful.

Is having acne a disadvantage? Fuck yea it is. Is it enough of a disadvantage that you can get laid or pursue beautiful women? Nope.

I used my son's Axe Shampoo+Conditioner one day last week and the next day my forehead was peppered with acne. Make sure you stay far away from that stuff.

CurveBall is right, pickup is far more about your behavior and inner game than your outward appearance. That being said, have you talked to a doctor about your acne? Most acne is pretty treatable--including rosacea, which is what yours sounds like.

I have always understood attraction to be people doing the best they can with what they've got, and if you can't defeat the acne, just be sure everything else is kept up.

I still have acne. It used to be worse. I have a friend who looks like a fuckin leper with all his scars and shit, but he gets laid because he's got confidence through the roof.

Obviously it's not gonna help you or anything, but there's really no point in worrying about it.

I can almost guarantee your insecurity is fucking you over more than the acne itself. If I can name just one guy who isn't hurt by it (my friend), that's really all the "proof" you should need.

If you're looking for someone to say "Yes, your acne will prevent you from getting laid," then Yes, your acne will prevent you from getting laid. See how useless that is? That aint gonna help your attitude.

Depends on your age and the severity of it.

Severe acne will have more impact on a 21 years old than a 15 years old.

I had acne all through high school. ANyone who tells you acne doesnt hurt your chances with women has never had it. It doesnt destroy your chances of course but it doesn't help. Do whatever you need to do to get rid of it. I had my doctor prescribe me a cream to put on daily and i cleared up completely in a month. Try the stuff you can buy at the stores, if that doesnt work then you may need to get something more strong prescribed.
