So here is a little story from a ex-foreveralone 26 year old male, and a long time seddit lurker.

Today I was working as a supervisor at some place somewhere, I had to request some additional personnel to my location, and when they finally arrived it is this cutest shortest girl there. I see her sort of being a bit uncomfortable because this is the first time she is working at this job. I go over, be friendly and non-threatening, show her around all that. Then I disappear for 2 hours and come back, I just sort of start talking to her about nothing in particular. We had the job in common, and she was new at it so the conversation was super easy to start. At this point I am not thinking about seddit or anything I have read here. I am just talking to another person in a completely friendly manner. For whatever reason, the conversation did not stall and we continued talking for another 30 minutes about completely random topics, I seem to have gained a super-human ability to have an never-ending source of stuff to talk about, this never happens. Ever. But it is, and I end up cracking a few random, spur-of-the-moment jokes and she laughed. After a few more minutes she makes a statement about how I make her laugh. This sets off bells in my head dingdingding and seddit comes to mind. Everything I have ever read in here starts to come to me. So I keep talking about random subjects, slowly changing topics to talk about stories of my past and all that stuff I read that I should do. Crack a few more jokes, she responds by saying I make her laugh often dingdingding. Then I go in closer incidentaly rub her shoulder and so on, you know making contact, and keep looking at her lips and her eyes. I change the subject matter to more private about her topics, get her to talk about her herself so I have some subject matter to work with. Eventually I find out about her sociology and social sciences education, and I use that to talk about sensitive parts of my past, and link it with her, and end up teasing her about how she should become a primary school teacher (she didn't want that at the start, but talking about kids, the future and things got her to change her mind) During this whole time she keeps getting closer, and eventually starts playing with her hair and she starts making simple contact. She shares her lunch. We continiue talking on a much deeper level now more like very close friends. Get her to talk about the future, and get her to open up about some very private-life stories, and I find ways to relate. So on and so on, one thing leading to another that by the end of the night 7 hours later I did absolutely no work, spent the whole time talking to her. And got tho close the whole thing with a hug and a passionate kiss. Now I have a date for next week, a number, and a potential for something awesome.
