This post is for those who have been in the game for a while.
I'd like to know what system works best for you? Please write a little review of how that system has improved or hindered your game. I've spent most of my pickup learning on RSD and can answer any questions you have regarding RSD.
- Real Social Dynamics (Tyler, Ozzie, Jeffy, Tim, Brad) - Foundations, Transformations, Blueprint Decoded
- PUA Training (Richard LaRuina, Adam Lyons) - Natural Game
- Lovesystems (Savoy, Braddock) - Magic bullets
- Stylelife (Style) - Rules of the game
- Mark Manson - Models
- David Deangelo - Double your dating
- Sixty years of challenge
They're all more or less based on mystery method's M3 model (attraction -> comfort -> seduction)
RSD
I've been to two RSD free tours, and one RSD hotseat, and I've seen RSD Foundations, parts of RSD Transformations, and RSD Blueprint decoded. I'd like to watch the rest of Transformations, Jeffy Show, and Natural flawless. I've also read most of Ozzie's Physical Game.
To me, RSD seems all about inner game. Get your inner game handled, and in state, and every else is good. I'm not too sure about that though. They advocate core confidence, which is built by doing lots of approaches over time. Their system is open, hook, touch, vibe, qualify which is essentially the same as attraction, comfort, seduce. However, I feel that their system is way too ambiguous, they preach "getting in state", and "it's not what you say, it's the energy behind what you say". While I agree with that, what you say matters when you're NOT in state. From my personal experience, when I've been "in state" I've been able to say a lot of crazy things and get girls attracted to me. RSD doesn't put that much emphasis on verbal game, and is focused more on emotional spiking and physical game by doing crazy random shit.
Overall, I feel RSD is too ambiguous for the beginner, and would be really helpful once you've gotten past the 5-10 minute mark in a set. I would say you would need medium sized balls to pull off a lot of their techniques, for example spinning a girl around and going straight for the make out. I would say stay away from RSD until you have your foundations of pickup down.
If you've seen the Jeffy show or natural flawless, I want to know what you think of it.
PUA Training
I've read most of Natural Game, and I feel this book helped me the most with verbals, while I was reading and applying this book I had 4 dates, and overall my game was better. As a beginner, I think book really helped me the most. This system requires no balls compared to RSD which I think is perfect for the beginner. I think I may go back to this, and then mix in some RSD stuff once I get into the comfort stage with a girl.
Lovesystems
When I first started out I read a bit of magic bullets, but had coaches who were into RSD and didn't continue with this. I skimmed through the book, and would like your opinion on this system. I did read parts of Braddock's Ultimate Text Guide, and I'd say spending that much time on text is a waste of time. This is where I agree with RSD, if your approach is GOOD, you don't need to spend any time on text game. Focus on building your approach.
Stylelife
I own rules of the game and 30 day challenge, I've skimmed through the challenge. I think this book may be gold if you actually apply it. This book helps you build the foundations of pickup. Again, no point in doing RSD if you don't understand push/pull and other basics of attraction.
Mark Manson
I haven't read his book Models, but after reading his blog, I think this guy is really credible. In one of his blog posts he says if you're new to pickup don't focus on inner game at all until you've had a few lays and have hit the intermediate level. I agree with him on this, I think if you're new you should only focus outer game and building your life style.
I like his "Three Fundamentals":
- Lifestyle: determines the type and quality of women you get
- Courage: determines the frequency and quantity of your opportunities with women.
- Social skills: determines the ease and efficiency with which convert your opportunities with women.
If I look back since I started, when I focused on my verbal game (social skills), I had dates and lots of numbers, but I lacked balls (courage). Now, I'm more focused on courage (balls), but my verbals have gone to shit, my conversation skills are poor, but my escalation is strong, which results in instant blow outs, huge bitch shields, grinding, aggressive guys, more make outs, and almost a few lays.
For example, I've opened girls at 2AM on the street, walked to their house, escalated strong, make outs, but couldn't get inside their place because my verbals were poor, and I couldn't build rapport or comfort. I was cavemanning them and they were into it, but a girl isn't going to let you sleep with her if she doesn't know enough about you to build some sort of trust.
I think Mark Manson has a mixture of all 3 systems, I'd really like to get my hands on his Models book.
Sixty years of challenge
Started reading his complete system, and I think this is gold too, it's all about developing balls, and if you can master his stuff, you're golden. He advocates building sexual tension by not saying the wrong things, which is completely the opposite of RSD's get in state, and vomit words approach. I'd like to read more of this.
David Deangelo
I read his articles and skimmed through some of his material but never read Double Your Dating, but this guy seems like the master of attraction, and hitting emotional spikes.
Conclusion
From my experience, when I first started my verbals were good, I seduced 4-5 girls just with talking to them and minimal kino, although because I lacked balls, and had no physical game, I couldn't get past that point. Then I got strong into physical game, courage building, and tried developing balls, this led to more action, but I couldn't get lays because my verbal game died, and I had opportunities for lays but because I didn't know what to say, or build comfort it never happened. I would approach girls, within two minutes my arm would be around them, pulling them in, sexual tension, etc..
Pickup is a double edged sword, you need verbal game to build comfort, without comfort you can't venue change girls, disarm their friends, day2s, or get them to a lay. You need physical game to get results, without escalation, your day2s will be a waste of time, girls will misinterpret your intentions and think you just want to be friends, and you won't get any makeouts.
I would say as a beginner, your effort should be broken down into this:
- Verbal game (attraction, comfort) - 55%
- Physical game (escalation, sexual tension) - 40%
- Inner game - 5%
*Don't worry about inner game, let that sort itself out by taking action and dealing with lows (like when you're developing alligator skin as a newbie by dealing with rejections).
