After seeing the controversy unfold on my earlier post, I wanted to do one more of a similar topic before I go out into the field.
Emotional stock is a huge seduction killer. When you first lay eyes on your target and think to yourself "She's really cute and pretty, I want to get to know her better", you've already invested way too much emotional stock. You might have already lost the game.
You must override this inner voice by using phrases that will block your ability to invest emotional stock too early:
"Others may find her attractive, but she will have to earn it she wants me to feel that way about her". "Does she have what it takes to win my affection? Let's find out" "I see she's having a good time. I can't give her the benefit of the doubt, but I will sure give her the opportunity to prove it to me". Or here's a real strong one that I use--"She poops too".
This is far different from other assertions men use to build confidence:
"She glanced at me. She wants my dick." "I might be too irresistible for her to handle" "She's cute. I'm sure she won't be able to keep her hands off of me".
This is just false confidence that will set your expectations too high, and that will also kill the seduction. These phrases that block your ability to invest initial emotional stock only serves to downplay your targets perceived value and to encourage you to give her the opportunity to open up.
I'm not saying that emotional stock is entirely bad, either. When you isolate your target and start building comfort (or limerance in my way of doing things), you should start investing emotional stock in this person. It's only fair because she has already invested time and emotional stock to sit with you alone and share the intimate details of her life.
Early on, emotional stock is bad. Later on, your level of emotional stock should be equal to or less than the investment that she puts forth.
