It's a personal thing, but I can tell you how I feel about it. I don't think it matters. After I lost my virginity, I didn't feel any different. Life goes on, except that you've now had sex.

I waited way too long to have sex for religious reasons. Definitely could have had sex with four girls before but always stopped short because I was "waiting for marriage." Finally lost my religion and went for it with girl number 5, whom I had known for a week and definitely did not love. My only regret now is not nailing girls 1-4. Just make sure you use a condom.

I think you need to make your own decision about that. I lost mine during a one night stand, it was fun, didn't mean anything but I didn't really need or want it to mean anything at the time.

I don't think it matters when. It's just a word to describe someone who hasn't had sex yet. It's not like you actually lose something that shows you're no longer a virgin.

The main reason I recommend losing your virginity to someone you love (or at least like very much/feel comfortable with) is because first times tend to be suuuuper awkward. Having an awkward first time is so much less horrifying if it's with someone who knows your situation, likes you for who you are, and will be understanding if it doesn't go quite as planned.

Honestly your first time is going to be average at best, better to get it out of the way I reckon.

Sex is like learning to ski. Those first couple of times you're going to be falling over on the bunny hill so it doesn't really matter how good the mountain is.

I literally could not give a crap about my virginity. I'm not trying to lose it, i'm not trying to preserve it. I just don't care, I'll lose it eventually. But to each his own, though i wouldn't have sex with someone i didn't love anyway. Doesn't matter how long you've known them, just feel the connection.

I guess it is my choice to make. I'm just easily influenced by what other people think, in this case "you have to fuck someone you love for your first." I personally think that it doesn't matter if I have sex in a relationship or ONS, it's my choice. Thanks :)

Any time I've seen a male virgin, it's always because of the wrong reasons, ie. Religion or a crippling lack of social skills, fear or even believing in fate. Sure props to a guy that does something like that for his own reasons. Any reason above I tend to think is misguided and needs a hand / wakeup call.

I would say your first time is just one that you will remember. Other girls you sleep with you might remember, but you always remember your first. It doesn't have to be that important, but just do it with someone you at least like.

Its better to get it over with, than to try to "wait" for the best situation. Don't take it the wrong way, it really depends on the approach you want to take. If you're interested in going the seddit/pua route, you want to make hooking up "not a big deal" ... if you haven't had sex before that is slightly difficult to pull off.

If its a bad first time look on the bright side, you can only improve on it from there!

though I was not very religious the environment I was raised in negatively affected my sexual life. I tried to learn many things that would have gotten me laid in high school (skateboarding, guitar, bar tending) had it not been a religious private school. Upon college I lost my virginity to a girl who was a hook up at the time and I wanted her to be more than just some girl so I pursued her, she didn't want a relationship but eventually caved. She left me a year later, I fell into the arms of a girl who I went to high school with, tried to make that special, which didn't work either. After that I said fuck it and just get with girls when I want, never been happier

Girls are programmed to choose a partner to stay with (and make babies with). Guys are programmed to fuck. Male virginity therefore has no biological importance other than the importance you give it. I lost mine when I was really drunk to a... slightly unattractive girl so I really don't care about it whatsoever.
