From own experience; a job in a restaurant, especially one where you have staff regulars. I worked during my summers at the main restaurant in a huge mall. We had large discounts for staff at the mall so we would get most of the malls workforce eating at our restaurant.

While I prepare the food for the customer I would always flirt if there was a nice girl ordering something. It worked wonders on my flirting and socializing and since we had a staff bar open on Friday's it was a good way to transition the conversation into meeting up at the bar at a Friday.

You can quickly develop pickup skills since the girls are approaching you for something and you only have to lead the conversation in a new direction and start flirting, i.e. no approach anxiety hindering you. And since the staff are regulars you easily build a good rapport if you are fun and easygoing with them.

I work in real money trading, so my job usually elicits and smile and a laugh. When she realizes I talk about video games all day, this blows the conversation wide open.

No matter what you do, show pride in it. Explain how you are uniquely good at your job. You are invaluable to the company. Be sure to be able to joke about your position as well.

You shouldn't really be looking for a job that goes well with pickup. You should look for a job that goes well with you. However, if you are looking for something short-term before seeking a higher degree, for instance, sales is very similar to pickup (confidence, assume the sale, cold-opening people, getting people to say "yes," building comfort and rapport, etc.). If you're looking for quick cash, waiting tables. If you're looking to get laid, bartend. The latter two options are pretty short-term though, so keep that in mind.

From the current number 1 PUA; do the thing that gets you the girls you want. Wanna fuck a porn star? Start directing porn. Artsy chicks? Start running exhibitions. Models? Become a photographer. The list goes on. If you don't want to live game to this level, just find a job that fulfils you (suggested: a job where you are not expendable or replaceable).

Call Center for Insurance.

The company introduces a new batch of "talent" every other week which usually includes some hotties. We would convince the managers to sit the hot girls beside us so they would learn the script.

Massive social status as everybody in the company loved me and my two natural buddies. Both of them had a reputation as players and one of them basically ran through the call center in the second location (he had to move here because the girls started infighting).

You get massive sales experience which helps tremendously with your confidence, but more importantly, sales people are always the same. They smoke, they drink, they go party and they manipulate. And they're horny as fuck.

So the new talent that would come in we would instantly take them out for drinks and attempt to bone. Most often they would be fired within weeks. If they did stay on, it means they usually were salesmen and down to bang.

Of course, it sort of sucks when you bang them and then they stay and silently hate you. We would openly talk on the floor about our fuck stories. No clue how we didnt get fired for sexual harassment.
