One of the blogs I’ve read a while ago gave advice that kind of goes like this, “when you’re a starting/beginner, don’t make your approaches about closing the girl. Because if you fail to close, it’ll ruin your beginners game. Instead, have a goal in mind, i.e. approach her and say hi, tell her she looks cute and walk away, etc” (work on the skills necessary and build up your outer and inner game).

I put it to the test at a Club. I get incredible social anxiety and clubs tend to be my worst possible scenario. But my plan wasn’t to close at all this first night. Instead, my goals were to (1) learn to have fun at the club just dancing, (2) learn how to approach a girl and dance with her.

I admit the entire night wasn’t fun. But there were moments when I was “faking it to make it” and it actually felt fun. Also, I approached what seems like 20 girls over 6 hours and gotten rejected 18 times. But the two times that the girls were into me, life was amazing; even if the 18 other times hurt like crazy.

So I’d say I haven’t quite achieved my goals. I still haven’t learned how to have a completely fun time in a club, or to approach a girl and dance with success. But I have learned a little bit more, and in these next few weeks I’ll be learning much more.
