I'm a bit frustrated guys.

I got into seddit back in 2012 and I've only had one awesome success that led to a year and a half relationship that recently ended.

I don't have a big social circle or anything like that. I'm a guy who has a few friends from completely different areas of my life. There's no parties or big gatherings. It's occasional hang outs, a few weekly trips downtown.

I'm 23 and still in college but have almost no association with the "college experience". It's mainly just going to my classes and going home to my family.

My campus is great for daygame. When I attempt I usually have no issues approaching or talking to strangers, but it never seems to go anywhere. It ranges from boring to playful depending on the girl. I get mixed reactions, mostly friendly, even some who outright mention how much confidence it took me to approach. Sometimes they'll give me a number, but I can't get a date to save my life.

I tend to have more progress going downtown. I don't drink, I hate smoke, but I freaking love to dance, and I'll be the first person on the dance floor. I meet people, have a fun time with them, at least one person records me on their cellphone a night. Sometimes girls approach me for a dance, sometimes I just offer my hand out, and sometimes I just grab their hand, tug and spin them around. I usually attempt to escalate to more intimate dancing with mixed results but regardless, it usually always ends with a hug and a thank you, and then they don't wanna know from me. I've thought that I'm just a dancing monkey, but fuck it, I love to dance. I get some numbers, half the time I get no response, the other half they're friendly and it fizzles out or they were drunk and don't remember me.

I'm not really looking for drunken one night stands or anything like that. I'm more into this to cast a wide net and find a compatible girl. I honestly wish I could just meet someone awesome, get with them, and focus on other things in life besides courting girls.

Downtown generally isn't good for that (sans the one exception with my ex) so even then I feel like it might be counter productive to who I am as a person.

But I'm frustrated because nothing ever seems to stick in any capacity. I want to expand socially and to meet and get to know more girls. I want more companionship, friends, and opportunities. I wouldn't even mind 20 failed dates right now because then I'd at least be getting past the first step.

I've made progress, and I owe a ton of the positive changes in my life to the inspiration in this community. There's still tons I want to improve upon, gaining muscle, becoming more of "a man", improving how I present myself socially, being more fun/playful in conversations and less serious. Yet at the same time, it's frustrating seeing so many people have that fulfillment, and never once put any thought into eye contact, body language or any of this stuff. I can't even be cynical and blame it all on being ugly cause I've seen overweight and easily much worse looking dudes be successful.

Sorry if this was a bit long. It's just pent up frustration, and I was just curious if any of you are experiencing similar things, or have any advice. Any input is appreciated!
