I just finished reading models, great book, but I haven't had the chance to put it into action yet. I just got out of a year long relationship where she dumped me and was with another guy about a week later. I honestly thought that we could've had a great future together, then she told me she didn't love me anymore. It completely blindsided me.

So, I'm trying my best to move on, but I'm not sure how to quash these feelings I have for her. I mean, the pain from the breakup/betrayal has faded, and I don't hate women or anything like that. I just feel alone. I'm also moving to college in 2 days, she'll be there too, with my replacement. I'll see her pretty often, mutual classes and she's rooming with a close female friend.

I'm hoping to put some of the advice given in "models" into action in order to help me get over her, but I feel bad talking to any girls when I still obviously have feelings for this one. I tried posting in /r/relationships but they just kinda made me out to be a terrible person.

Anyways, I don't want meaningless sex or anything, I want to find a relationship. Somebody I can share everything with.

I've also read conquer your campus, and while it seems really awesome, I'm not sure if that's the type of person I want to be. I'm also rushing a fraternity, if that matters.

Any advice?
