I've been talking to this girl for a couple of weeks. I know she had a crush on me in high school, but I never really gave her much attention. Anyways, she's graduated college and is moving back into town. We've started talking again. Texts all day and long conversations at night. She already told me she likes me. Yesterday was our first date (which she set up). She came over to my parent's house to help me register for college classes. Everything went pretty good except for a couple of remarks she made. When we were on the computer my brother walked past us and she said with a huge smile on her face, "Wow he's taller than you. He looks more manly." I didn't know what to say. I didn't really care at the moment so I just looked at her with a confused face and I don't even remember if she said she was "just joking" or if I imagined she said she was "just joking". A few minutes later she goes on to tell me that my lips look very feminine. Again, I was confused as to why she would say that, so I didn't really say much and just gave her another puzzled look. (Girls usually tell me how much they like my lips so it really threw me off.) Besides that, everything went smoothly and she even called me when she got back home.

I'm not going to lie though, those remarks didn't get to me at that moment but they're really bugging me now. I will add that I have made fun of her nose in the past (I told her it looks like Doug's nose from the cartoon) and I remember maybe like 3 years ago I bumped into her at church and told her that she looked nice, but that her older sister really looked nice. I could be wrong, but I doubt she even remembers I told her that, so I don't know why she felt the need to compare me to my brother. I do feel my comments were light-hearted and just teasing while her's were more mean-spirited and inconsiderate.

Did she really mean what she said or is she just trying to get even? I don't want to continue talking to her if she really was trying to put me down. I can't imagine why you would compare a person to their sibling if you are seeking a relationship/romance with that person. At this time, I really believe she didn't find me as attractive as she thought I would be (we hadn't seen each other physically since that incident at church) and that was just her way of letting me know. What do you guys think? Oh yeah by the way, she has agreed to go on another date with me to a concert, but my gut feeling is she wants to go more to see the artist instead of me.

EDIT: Basically, I feel like this girl is trying to strip me of my masculinity. I feel she made those comments because she thinks I'm not man enough for her.
