Good style in general leads to that, skinny jeans and Chelsea boots now make everyone in my grade believe I'm gay.

Who gives a f*ck. I show my intent through eye contact and touching, my style is only a bonus to give me more confidence and make me look better, but ultimately it doesn't really matter how you look or how people perceive you if you're not a creep and get to escalate on a girl.

Use this to your advantage. I don't know what tropical island you're from but in American culture this makes you more approachable to women. I dress very nice and it definitely gets you noticed, it's a great icebreaker.

Tons of girls think I am gay, but screw them. I don't need to prove anything to them. Not my fault dressing well makes me feel good, taking care of hair/skin makes me look better, and that gay clubs have the best dancing. I am not trying to impress them, also if the girls think I am gay it makes them lower their guard.

It's true that you want to dress for the context of the situation, showing up at a punk show in a suit would be awkward no matter how "objectively" sharp you look, but I wouldn't worry about people thinking you're gay. Hopefully women will understand that you're not when you start hitting on them. Which you should be doing, obviously.

Own it. Attractive men make themselves stand out on purpose because they can take the social pressure. Dressing up is almost always a good idea. At least wear clothes that fit you properly. Nothing gay about that

Dressing up and dressing well are different; aim for the latter. The former indicates a lack of fashion context (e.g. that one kid who would wear a suit to class for no reason).

You can still look good in a well fitting t-shirt and jeans.

Here is your thought process about any criticism by a girl.

1) Listen to her criticism with an open heart and mind.

2) Decide for yourself: is she right? Ask a third party if you are having trouble figuring it out. If she's not right, it may be because she is an idiot or is shit testing you. Under this test, I would say that dressing nice on a tropical island doesn't necessarily make you look gay. That's just their opinion. Girls like to target "superior" men (well dressed, confident, good looking) and "neg" them to see how they react, and this may be what is happening.

3) If she's right, ask yourself whether it matters. So what if you look gay? I'd rather look good and gay than schlubby and straight. You can "fix" looking gay by just telling girls you are not gay. It's not like you are wearing short shirts and a neon pink tank top that shows your belly.

Part of not giving a fuck is following your own rules and morals, and not letting yourself be guided by others.

I've got that before too but believe it or not, it's not a bad thing. Usually when they ask is because they're unsure if they really like you, they don't want to be rejected. Tell them no and start picking up on them.

I live in Brazil, so dressing nicely usually makes people think you are stupid for dressing so nice in a hot weather. I feel way more confortable wearing skinny jeans and a nice T-shirt.
