I've changed a lot as a man but i still find this difficult about our culture. The woman is not encouraged to approach the man. it puts us at a disadvantage. Even the more masculine women I've meet force you to go through their shit test and make you figure out to court them. I've met women from all the political spectrum and personalities that still want you to court them regardless of how much penalties you face.

I'm gonna play devils advocate here from a men's rights perspective.

In the western world we live in right now, women are actively engaging men. It's just not the "bottom" 75ish percent of men.

I'd rather live in a society where I'm actively engaging women, and they are responsive and appreciative of it. Rather than this current female positive one.

It's the man's responsibility to get enthusiastic consent. Culturally, american women generally do not give men enthusiastic consent. This is a large contributing factor to rape culture. Everyone focuses on women's right to say "no" when they aren't interested, buy saying "hell yes" when you are interested is just as important in maintaining a healthy culture of transparency where men know what they need to do to find love. However, it is ultimately the right of women to say "yes" or "no" which means it is american men's moral duty to date abroad where they can get enthusiastic consent.

I've seen this too and it really pisses me off. Modern feminism is pretty much all about going against what is easy and convenient for men. Many women train themselves to be completely emotionless around even around men they like just because they know that it would make it harder for any man to pursue them. Men are not forced to court women. Not even if they want a relationship. I've even found that as a self-determined, independent man who doesn't court women, I've become much more attractive to women. They are the ones who take the first steps and do something to get into a relationship.

That applies a little from the age of 25 and a lot from the age of 30.

Evolutionary forces influence much of society. Biologically women are the choosers and men are in competition.

I don't think it's healthy to fight this. Fighting human nature leads to bad outcomes, and is basically much of what modern feminism is forcing on us (ie. pretending there are no innate differences between genders)

I recommend reading the Blank Slate which gives a good overview of this debate of innateness versus socialisation.

Again, have to stress we have to accept the cards we are dealt in life and make the most of it. As a man it does mean picking up more responsibilities/risks where we can lose. Women have it tough too tbf (child birth, caregiving etc.).

If we all accepted who we are, and stopped this identity politics nonsense we'd be much happier collectively

Why do men have to? They don't, see MGTOW. Why do men do it? If you can play the game and win, the love and sex is pretty good. Why don't women do it? Putting themselves out there works well enough already. Why is it like this? Evolution with cultural reinforcement; no active intention behind it. Why not change it? Fighting culture and human nature is hard, long, and not worth the effort. Why do women shame each other for it? They shame each other for lots of stuff; why not this? What would I recommend? Cut down the 'utterances', focus on the actions.
