Well, two bits of advice. One came from my dad, and another came from a teenage friend who was the pussy-slayinist dude I ever knew back in high school.

Here is my take brother:

They're not perfect. Just because they're pretty don't mean they got their shit together. They can be toxic ppl. Do you want to hang out around someone who drinks daily, for example and sleeps until 3PM. Has no goals. Is shit to everyone in their lives? No.

Realize that. Value shit more than looks. Value things like health, good sense of humor, positivity and good energy.

Practice eye contact with people. Stranger. Start small. Keep eye contact with people around you daily. while walking, look at people's eyes. and also, see if this helps, grab a picture and stare into the picture's eyes. Anything that helps you. Track your progress for 30 days. In 30 days, if done daily, you will be able to hold eye contact no problem. This is SOO IMPORTANT> if you cant hold eye contact, you're gonna have a very tough time attracting girls. Because when you meet a girl and shes interested, she gonna stare at your eyes.
Realize you're not gonna get along with everyone. Focus on the 5% of the world that you're gonna get along with really well rather than the 95% others that you wont get along with.

Its perceived status man. You just have it in your head that they are way higher than you. An easy way to make it so you don't think this way is to change the dialogue in your mind when you're around them.

Instead of "What can I do to seem cool around her?" You can think "I wonder if she's cool." then you proceed to find that out.

Why would you be nervous around them? You know their shit smells too, don't you? They're human, just like you are – maybe they won the genetic lottery, but they are just as imperfect as everyone else is. They have their own issues, and they struggle just as much as you do with something else.

You need to fix yourself up first. There's two reasons you behave like that:

ONE Remember when you bought a new car? The first two weeks you wouldn't even use it for anything that could remotely make it dirty. Someone wanting to smoke? DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. Today, three years in, that car which was so exciting and precious is just another piece of metal on the road for you. Means nothing. You've gotten used to it.

My point? The reason you're nervous is that you're not used to get attention from these women. So find a way to become part of circles where beautiful women hang out. Befriend them. No expectations whatsoever. Chat them up about anything else that could remotely lead to a romantic relationship. Whatever that is, books, your last holiday, their last holiday, doesn't matter. Make a habit of it. Once you're used to their presence, it's not going to feel that special anymore.

TWO You're nervous around them because deep inside you know you're not worth their attention. You're insecure as fuck and you need to get your shit together. Harsh as it may sounds, this is a good thing, because you can fix it. Go live a little bit. Travel the world. Read a book or two. Take guitar lessons. Whatever floats your boat. The moment you'll be more interesting as a person, that's when you're going to start to feel comfortable around everyone else, regardless of how beautiful.

Also, keep in mind that every single man in your family tree, going back to the beginnings, has fucked at least a woman in their life so you can be where you are here today. All your ancestors won at life. The likelihood is that you will too. So go out there, live a little bit, and then go and chat up that beautiful woman – totally without any expectations. Suddenly you're going to realise how easy it all is.

Try a change of pace. If you're just cold approaching, try seeking out mixed groups of men and women. Then you can warm up by talking to dudes or other girls you don't find attractive. You can practice socializing so that when you have a girl there that you find attractive, it's going to be easier to talk.

You need a foundation before you can build a house.

As for what groups and where to find them, there's that app, Facebook. You can literally look up groups that suit your interests. Those groups post events publicly that anyone can go to. You can look up who is going and get an idea of the mix of people who are going. But honestly, just getting mileage talking to strangers is going to help, even if it's mostly guys at first.

Dudes that can chat up any girl and have playful convos are dudes who chat up EVERYONE and play with them.

Practice having fun banter with everyone you meet: some old lady in line for groceries, the gas station attendant, female friends you aren't attracted to. This allows you to a) practice your flirting and conversation skills, and b) build up your social momentum. When you can playfully tease and chat up anyone, it will come naturally when you meet someone you ARE attracted to.

If you only try to flirt and talk to women you think are hot, you're going to build up so much pressure that you'll choke. Or worse, appear needy to her.

Enjoy playful banter with everyone around you, so that when you do meet a beautiful woman somewhere, you can effortlessly talk to her.

Everyone is giving good advice about how to handle the situation. I would also mention that a big helper is spending time around very attractive girls to help acclimatize yourself to their presence. I would highly recommend trying to friend zone some attractive girls that you don't try to go for for a couple of reasons: for the social proof, for good advice, and to be able to see their perspective on things.
