I'd like to share some experiences I have regarding eye-contact and how powerful it really is, both for seduction and power. Eye contact should never be underestimated, a lot of emotion can be conveyed in a single 'glance of the eye.'
Years ago I went to a String Cheese Incident concert in Central Park. It was right after the Phish band on 'hiatus' and there was this roving band of hippies looking to connect to the next party band. When I got to the show, I realized the hippies latched on this band and there were a bunch of them with their drums and spinning in circles. As I was navigating the crowd with my friends I passed this one spinning girl and she bumped into me, looked up and we locked eyes. For a split second I felt like she jumped into my soul. It was the weirdest and most powerful feeling that I ever felt at that time. I was NOT prepared for it and quickly left but I can remember that event to this day, how much it impacted my life.
After that incident I started to get interested in how eye-contact can affect people, for good or bad. I read a great article (can't remember the URL) that talked about this journalists journey into using eye-contact in all kinds of daily interactions. He was really scared of eye-contact as most of people are. His method was to make it point to look into the other persons eyes just long enough to figure out what color their eyes are. That was long enough to make an impact. Once he started doing that, he noticed his service at restaurants or the bagel shop was better. At work, his contributions were acknowledged more (he would lock eyes on his manager), etc.
Think about how you use your eyes for flirting? Or in anger? It's a huge body language indicator and you should really spend some time studying this.

This is a solid trick. Cheers. Will test it out.

Indeed. I learned this trick after reading The Rules of the Game. It was probably the day 2 or day 3 challenge.

I felt so much emotion in just those 3-4 seconds with her not having said a single word
[–][deleted] 23 points24 points25 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
I can tell most of the time if a girl is interested in me just by eye contact alone. Most of the time I don't act on it however since my confidence is 0 >.> Also when their pupils dilate does that mean it's an IOI? I've only seen it once or twice but I know it's a sign of interest.
[–]Aristox 31 points32 points33 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Don't wait to see her pupils dilate before you make a move lol
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah for sure. I don't look for it I mainly observe lower body movements if anything. I rarely stare into eyes like that. 😂
[–]Burgundy145 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Getting a girl's attention is half the battle man. Just smile and introduce yourself.
[–]coldbrew18 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Pupil dilation is a real thing, but it doesn’t work if you have a light source behind you, it’s bright out, etc
[–]hunterpua 15 points16 points17 points 8 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link
Completely agree.
My cousin once brought his girlfriend to a family reunion and I thought she was hot as fuck. Stealing girls from family members is kinda off limits to my personal morals but I had already made it a habit to make deep eye contact and project my intent with any girl that I'm attracted to so whenever I talked to her that's what I did. And I guess I also did it to relieve the "craving" I had for her a little bit.
Anyway, we had this moment where I got inside my aunt's house where the reunion was being held and she comes in shortly after, asking me where the toilet is. I look over to her and hold deep eye contact while I'm feeling like fucking her brains out deep inside. There was a long pause between us, the kind of pause where you only notice there was a pause when you look back in hindsight because we were "lost in each other's eyes". (I know its cheezy but thats the best way I can describe it.) After that pause, I just made a simple joke about how she isn't allowed to use the toilet then she giggled and I told her where it is.
We didn't see each other again until the next day.
Next day comes around and she is flirting with me hard. When I got to my aunt's house to have lunch with the relatives, she calls me over to sit across her, while having lunch she constantly tries to get my attention making comments about my sunglasses and other random stuff, this was making me really uncomfortable because her boyfriend, my cousin was sitting right next to her while she was doing this. Later in the day she comes up to me out of nowhere and says, "Hey, we haven't had our photo taken yet." then sits beside me and gets really close to take the photo. Then later on that night while I was singing karaoke with a bunch of relatives, she comes over and says she wants to do a duet with me. Finally, really late in the night she invited me to her hotel for an "after party".
I'm against stealing a girl from a cousin but stealing a girl from a cousin with a high likelihood of getting caught in the act?? Hell no.
Once the reunion was over all of us went back to the cities we lived in then a few days later I get a notification that she tagged me in a post on Facebook. It was the photo of me and her. It was the only photo she posted from the reunion. There were a bunch of comments asking, "Hey, who's that guy?" She responded to one of those comments saying, "Mark. Hahaha."
Mark is my cousin's name
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I mean cool, and idk if you are close with your cousin or even like him, but I would take the chance to help him out on his game because A: she was openly flirting with you, so he’s coming up short somewhere and B: he couldn’t recognize it.
[–]hunterpua 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We're close but not message each other out of the blue kinda close. We live in different cities.
[–]Rick-Morty 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Damn, that's really cool to know, good job for you. but sad at the same time that your cousin is oblivious. I will definately be doing this in the future
[–]hunterpua 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
He wasn't completely oblivious. He probably didn't know what I did because I just used my eyes. Kinda hard to spot that. Most of the conversation between me and her was just mundane small talk. The flirtiest I ever got with her verbally was when I made the joke about the toilets and he wasn't even there for that.
I could see that he noticed the flirting from her side though. He was visibly annoyed but I guess he didn't know what to do because he was probably avoiding making a scene in front of the family and I was being standoffish with his girlfriend when she started aggressively flirting so he probably thought I had no part in it and his girlfriend was the only one to blame.
Who knows? They probably talked about it in their hotel room that night.

Wtf where do you live there is no way this would happen here in France
[–]yamehameha 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link
Why?
[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link
À lot of girl are very cold here, way too serious and they very often look down on dudes, they act too « bitchy »

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I live in Canada, a major city. It was 2am at night when this happened. Outside a bar strip
Probably. Try it!
[–]vesselofmadness 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
jus this weekend that happend. after locking on i gave her a light smirk. she proceeded to move tables to get closer, and was sitting next to me 5 mins later. i dont actively seek for eye contact i jus notice their attention is in my direction. im pretty average on the looks department. too. its akin to an inside joke with a freind. someone mentions that thing and you both look at each other just know.
I had an experience like this I work as a receptionist behind a desk and this hot milf came up to the desk to ask a question and as I looked at her dead in the eyes I had smirk on my face and that moment was so intense its like just by the look on her face it telegraphed what a thousand words can't get across. As I was look her in the eyes she looked me in the eyes with this very suggestive smile. I swear I felt like if I were to get up and make out with her right there and then I would have gotten away with it.

I honestly don't see why this couldn't happen. There's like 7 and a half billion people out there, would none of them be willing to call a person from the opposite gender sexy?
[–]Rick-Morty 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Kinda sad really that this is so unbelievable. Why don't you believe me?
[–]DrizzyDavePG -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
She had her arm linked with her boyfriend then looked you in the face and said wow you're sexy then turns to your friend and says the same thing and walks away? Yeah okay lmao
[–]jakeinmn 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
oh bless your sweet little heart
Are girls still this super chivalrous and wholesome unicorn to you?
They don't have the capacity hurt you... A guy will punch you or even shoot you - you'd recover .. but they will emotioanlly and spiritually gore anyone if they can.... that shit stays with you.

Dawg.
[–]Do-it-for-you 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women say other men are sexy around their boyfriends all the time. It’s stupidly common. Why does this surprise you?
To be fair it could be dependent on where you live, maybe women in your area don’t do this.
[–]SpicyFetus 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yea this post is bragging but it does have a good message. Eye contact makes a difference
[–]Xanarxses 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Wtf is wrong with like 20% of you?
Part is mad that they don't get any action or attention.
The other part is so uptight that they treat this whole pickup thing like it's flipping burgers at McDonald's.
[–]canarywocoalmine 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I did an exercise as part of a workshop that involved stopping a woman walking and staring into her eyes without saying anything for as long as she would stand there and then when she started walking away, stopping her again. These interactions literally lasted 90 seconds with only eye contact. It was completely insane, but as said, eye contact is very powerful.

This is how the step 1 be attractive meme was formed btw. Posts that offer no value but try to explain random encounters (which could not happen to everyone) with some random strategy or thing you think you did.
Dont go off on me saying looks dont matter, they do to an extent and im not arguing it.
Cant wait to use more eye contact and get called sexy by random girls who are with their boyfriends!! Thanks OP
[–][deleted] 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
[–]zbf 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's good not just in seduction but in general people skills.
[–]prickass--throwaway 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Do you simply maintain the same facial expression until the girl looks away, or do you usually smile or smirk a little?
[–]prickass--throwaway 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thanks man
[–]Rick-Morty 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I don't know for a fact it was her boyfriend but from body language it seemed so. Also, I consider myself average. I made this post because this DOESN'T happen to me. That's why the FIRST time I make intense eye contact I get called sexy. Coincidence? Try it out man.
[–]zbf 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Eye contact is old school and I'm already amazing at it.
[–]PlayLikeNeverB4 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]LimitedContributor 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good for you, man.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Was she a 6 or 7? I'd believe it if she was below 8.
[–]Rick-Morty 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Yeah probably a 7.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Ah ok, so she was average looking. That's definitely believable then.
[–]Rick-Morty 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Why would you automatically assume her looks? If anything, don't most people fall into the average category?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Because I'm guessing people thought we was lying because they're thinking the girl was attractive.
Oh I see. I mean I would consider her attractive. My friend did too. But that could be different from what everyone else thinks. All I am saying is that it was cool the reaction and emotion felt from 3 seconds eye contact
[–]ToxicRocketry 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, eye contact is a definite winner. Losing it is also a good way to dodge unwanted attention. Happened to me once with a girlfriend of a relative. I was really just being friendly and my usual self until she started getting a bit TOO friendly and I spent the rest of the evening avoiding her gaze. At most, half a second of acknowledgement just out of common courtesy. It’s a nice way of easing the tension in a polite manner.
Can't believe I never knew the power of it before
[–]JuiceGasLean 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link
Lol this guys really full of himself wtf
[–]Rick-Morty 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link
I wish this girl was full of myself
[–]JuiceGasLean 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link
Damn lol guess being somewhat good looking pays off if you can say cringy shit like this and get away with it
[–]Rick-Morty 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link
Yeah haha, I guess so
[–]JuiceGasLean 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link
True Lol be grateful man being you gets you nothing close to the experiences you got and im from the GTA too
[–]Rick-Morty 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link
I'm not from the GTA bro! And I can't really understand what you meant
[–]JuiceGasLean 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link
Being ugly or unattractive gets nothing close to the experiences you constantly boast about.
[–]Rick-Morty 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link
I think it's more your attitude
[–]JuiceGasLean 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link
Lmao yeah is that what's gotten you all of these random experiences at the same age? Get out of here I don't get why you deny having it way easier Lol all through your posts you tell all these stories of having the wildest things happen yet you want accept that occurring only to more attractive people you're not average buddy.
[–]Rick-Morty 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
Notice how all of those posts are from the last 6 months, and notice how I only learned about game around 8 months ago? Coincidence? Maybe I am attractive. I'm just telling you that game is much more important.
