Nah, it's not worth the timely investment. It's just enough to have me keep coming back at random just in case but for the most part it's a huge waste.

I'm a pretty good looking dude, been doing this heavily for about 8 years along with lifting, and the flakiness is still insane. Ive gotten some beautifully wonderful girls from there but 99.5% of the time it's retarded.

I am doing one approach a day, and yesterday I literally just walked out my front door, found a hot girl, talked to her, and she's been texting me a lot. Tinder that would have taken so many swipes and luck just to get that.

I got around 70 matches within 2 months (organic matches and boost)

I'd say I msged 75% of them with some witty line or something related to their profile (not your generic 'hey').

Most responded back and sent a msg or 2 yet they didn't message back

1 date out of 70 matches. Not such a good ratio imo.

I'm starting to get annoyed by the level of flakiness tbh. What are your thoughts?

For me, it depends on location, mindset and other things. In the US, I get about 1 date a month if I want to, but I get really bored because the women I meet are less attractive and more boring than their profiles. In South America I get a shit ton of matches, but a large percentage of them are essentially prostitutes or just looking for a sugar daddy. They're hot, but I've stopped going on Tinder dates in South America because I have no interest in someone using me for my money. In Europe I get enough matches that I can have 1-2 dates per week if I want to, and people tend to be more attractive in real life than in their profiles. I don't drink anymore, so it rarely turns into sex on the first date, but I always offer a goodbye kiss (yes, verbally, fuck the idea of blindsiding someone with an unexpected kiss out if nowhere) at the end of the date if we haven't kissed during the date. 50% of my first dates end in a kiss, and with the girl being interested in a second date.

This is all based on my personal experience, and it will vary a lot based on who you are, where you are, and who you want to date. But here are some things I've learned;

Have good photos: A nice smile, well dressed (few girls like shirtless selfies unless you're Brad Pitt, but good fashion goes a long way), doing something interesting, showing that you have friends

Have a funny one liner in the first line or two so it shows with your first photo and makes the girl laugh without having to open your profile. Bonus points if it's unique and not copy/pasted. After the funny one liner, what you say is less important but it should be something positive and a good conversation starter

Start conversations with statements, "cold reading" what the girl is like. Don't use copy/paste pickup lines, don't try to interview the girl, and FFS say something more interesting than "What's up?". Girls are drowning in a sea of dicks on Tinder. You have to be different. Look at a girl's photos, imagine what she's like, and then comment on it, "You look like the kind of girl who is shy but really likes a good adventure" or whatever. /r/firstimpressions is a good place to practice this.

Finally, ask for what you want. If you want her number, ask for it. If you want a date, ask for it. If on the date, you want to kiss, ask for it. If you want her to come back to your place, ask for it. And if you want to fuck, ask for it. Obviously, try to be aware of the situation and her comfort level. Don't do stupid shit like asking her to come to your place before talking to her or asking her to fuck while in the middle of a crowded place.

And if she denies a request, be cool. Not just externally, but internally as well. Don't let it bother you. Women don't owe you anything. Even if you paid for a $300 date, they owe you nothing. (If you want to trade your money for sex, hire an escort, there's no shame in that.) Most women have to test how you'll respond to rejection before they'll feel comfortable with you. They'll say no to the first kiss, not because they don't want it, but because they want to make sure that you can accept a no without being pushy or getting angry. Just say, "Ok, I just thought I'd ask", smile, and change the subject. You can ask again later, if the moment feels right, or on the next date.

Use it when you're extremely bored, in the bathroom, etc. Don't get attached to it or check it too much. Once in a while you'll get a girl who is actually down to meet up but the match to date ratio is bad, and obviously a lot of girls will message you then flake.

I'll say this: I've been on maybe 4-5 dating app dates, and every girl has said she only had been on one or two dates from the app before that. Compared to the amount of matches they probably get, it's not a great ratio. You'll get more done in person.

I saw this guy post a chart on another subreddit he basically was on tinder 3 years swiped like 600,000 times got 2000 matches and 2 became relationships.

Tinder is a great background option to text girls and get hook ups sometimes. All of my current fwb are from there. Just use it for fun, don't take it serious and just enjoy flirting with girls and you'll get random hook ups at times.

Bumble converts much better for me (at least here in Nz) But it all depends on how good of a Texter you are...

When I was in the States, tinder was a big waste of time overall. But in Thailand I had some awesome dates, largely with travelers, and was blown away how easy it was by comparison.

So really, Location and if you’re a regarded Texter or not.
