I thought of a line for this, and field tested it with success:

“Is there someone you came with, who, if he saw me talking with you, would just come flying out of nowhere fist-first to just punch me in the face. Basically are you on a date or something?”

You can sub “talking” for “dancing”, “drinking” “flirting” etc. To be used early in the conversation

This an old Lance Mason routine:

"Hey you alone? Want me to introduce you to my friends? C'mon I'll help you find a guy!" Take her by the hand and introduce her to the biggest beta chode you can find. Smile and tell her, "see you!" and later on when you see her alone again, re-open her and ask how it went.
