How has the redpill ideology negatively affected your life?

It made me horribly insecure and distrustful of women. I lost a girlfriend (previous to the one I mentioned in the post) because I purposely played mind games by refusing to text her first. I negged her because I thought I needed to in order to keep the power balance in my favour. I suspect she secretly found someone else who treated her better and made her more a priority.

Brought me to the edge of suicide, kept me in an extremely misogynistic mindset with some pretty fucked up opinions when I was at my worst.

I'm still scrubbing my brain clean after 2 years of de-tox, part of why I personally get so angry when people try to preach Red and Blackpill talking points to me is because it warped me into a horrible human being.

Pretty bad influence ngl.

Dumbass 15 year old red pill loser me deleted social media because scamza said so and I disconnected from almost everyone I knew and ended up much more lonely. only things I didn’t delete were Snapchat which I barely used or had anyone on and WhatsApp which I only talk to close friends and family on

It made me very insecure actually. I watched Hamza in particular, thinking I was relating to him. I felt like I knew how to talk to women, be a great man, while I reality it made me very insecure about my looks and the person I was. I could not be the fun, sweet and golden retriever me. I was told I needed to be Stoic, calm and not show too much of my emotions. I saw how Hamza would pick up girls, had this calm smile and getting numbers and numbers and I saw Pick-up-Artist do the same and this was not me, so for some time I felt very and very insecure trying to be someone I was not.

Then one day I said fuck it. And I was myself again and truly myself. When I talk to girls, I was the funny me again, excited, a real golden retriever and my dating success went through the roof. Apparently I am very likeable being so excited. I had girls telling me I am very pulling and have this energy that just pulls people in. Multiple girls said they like my energy and girls keep inviting me to their parties and they smile when they talk to me. I started to date very beautiful girls and I had read text msgs of my girlfriends telling their friends how they saw a cute guy (me), and sending pictures of my Instagram and them saying I looked good, and some girls even said I looked yummy, sweet and decent.

Fuck the Redpill, truly. I am myself again and I will never ever try to act as if I am someone I am not.

It's driven a wedge between me and old friends of mine I grew up with. I understand how their insecurities got weaponized, but the things they say and do are alienating and morally unacceptable to me. Its pretty much ruined some of my friendships, as they pretty much are not recognizable as my friends.

It led me to think that the best and most masculine man was the one that would get laid with more women, which gave me several experiences that o regret. Thankfully no consequences regarding STDs or pregnancy since I was always careful but I still regret having being with several different women, I didn’t enjoy it and I felt empty all the time

Woman here. I distrust men and pessimistic in finding a good husband. I also fear that even if one day I found someone to marry, that later he will still be corrupted by red pill ideas.

I am a woman. I was raised by someone with beliefs similar to redpill. The manipulation, the misogyny, the right wing crap, it was all the same shit. There was so much abuse in that household and I spent like a decade being suicidal because of it. It took me so long to heal from that. I also haven't spoken to my family in years.

It was a little complex for me. I was not particularly good with women in my teens and twenties. Often going out feeling like I was covered in lady repellent. I had also developed this idealistic view that one day I would meet this perfect woman who would not be like the rest and would just accept me for who I was (no changes needed). Looking back, this was a seriously warped view, heavily influenced by wishful thinking, poor advice from others (mainly women with good intentions), fand film tropes where the girl falls for the dawk.

When this didn’t materialise I became resentful and frustrated and keen to seek out where I was going wrong. Why I was getting no attention. This is when I turned to the redpill. Some of it seemed like good advice, don’t be too needy, loose the nice guy attitude, self improvement, being more assertive etc. However, this was mixed with some pretty unpleasant and odious views that made me feel more resentful and hostile to women. It was only after I got out more (away from my computer), became more attractive and had a few relationships that I realised how warped this was.

There is some good advice in the redpill stuff. It’s just a shame it’s mixed with so much other deeply unpleasant nonsense.

HVW content and FDS forums have led me to a complete mistrust of men. It has shaped the way I view relationships including my own (I no longer participate in these communities but many of its discourse haunts me still to this day). Also have lost a lot of confidence in myself for not being valuable enough, a dream girl to a high value man. I am working on these issues but it gets hard being in a relationship

It made me very self centered and selfish in my younger years (20s) to the point that I became reckless and broke hearts of girls that easily would have been good long term relationships. That's probably my biggest regret in the whole thing. They genuinely had feelings for me, and I didn't reciprocate even an ounce of that back. Now I'm older with less free time than I had back then and ultimately I wasted a lot of time that I could have put into just settling down and starting a family.

I’m a woman, and the red pill crap got to me during my early high school years. I genuinely believed what they said and kept me in that mindset for a while. Now that I’m looking at both sides of the story everything feels so messy. I’m growing up in a mainly conservative household which holds many red pill values, so I think that also affected me. Looking back on things I used to do, say, and believed makes me cringe so much. I realized those ideas were extreme and so single minded, and that goes to both sides of the spectrum. I’m in a somewhat better place now with definitely better opinions, definitely feel more open to others opinions and ideas.
